Summer transfer window 2023

Supported since 03 and we've never had decent strikers aside from Lukaku for a couple of seasons, as much as I hate him for his transfer talk. That needs to change now, and I'm happy for us to let Simms go to bring someone with proper firepower in.

Also DCL does not count as a competent striker, had a fluke season. Good for knock-downs and that's it
Do the words Denis Straqualursi mean nothing to you?

Yes, I think having someone competent ahead of Patterson would allow him to play with less pressure; similar to how Coleman came through the ranks. Especially given that we need to replace Coleman soon anyway, we’d be better off buying a first teamer rather than another young prospect.

As for CM, Doucoure might not be in the AFCON squad. A loan move in the window for a CM might be the way forward to cover Gueye & Iwobi.
I get why just imo dont think it helps him at all, needs start playing each weeksitting on the bench he will not get better.
Hes also 3 years older then simms.

Gyokeres goal per minutes in 190.

Simms goals per minutes is 157.

I'm not saying simms should be going for the same as Gyokeres but £6m is too low. Especially to a team thats getting £20m.
Would have got more if he stayed out on loan and was getting the goals.

Honestly think moshri is slotting as much money back as he can.. disgusting can't trust them
Something is clearly off mate.

Either financially it’s much worse than we’re being told, and there is some validity to the ffp breaches we’ve made or mosh is just trying to get back some of what he’s put in by selling the kids/ whoever else he can and pocketing it, but we won’t be a functional club/team if that’s what’s going on.

Not sure we will sign anyone this window - if we couldn’t get anyone in back in Jan, when we were really desperate, they aren’t gonna bother now, and just hope and pray DCL gets and stays fit, and have to play whatever kids we have left after the fire sale currently underway.

Catastrophic way to run a football club.

Exactly this.

Also people have to understand where we are in the food chain, we wont be eating deals wise until other clubs have finished their dinners. Thats the reality of our finances and our current profile.

We will have loads of deals in the chamber but players wont be in a rush to us and will wait to see if there are other options as we aren't that desirable. From their point of view they could be more then likely be buying into a relegation battle or a possible relegation.

Have the hold the space - like every year - simples!

I imagine Davies leaving and talk of Iwobi/Gray possibly going will have also effected the clubs budget if we're sailing close to the FFP wind.

To be competitive we need 4-5 signings this summer which will mean a big expenditure if you want quality coming in and not just panic buys / punts.
