We literally don't have any money. Seems to be just over what we rake in from player sales this summer. Doesn't include the Gordon and Kean money - that's already gone supposedly.

If it's 20m euros upfront we are out if it's spread over a few years we can probably do it. Was just reading that Benj we only put down an initial ten million on Onana and Mcneil last summer. Maybe this story is to hurry us up?

For sure, but if we're looking to spend our limited money elsewhere in the squad, then it makes sense.

Again, it's not ideal, even a bit laughable to be honest, but what can you do?

Well we are in the middle of a massive construction project and we also have FFP limiting what we can spend. We will have to sell to buy.

Get through this season and we can loosen the purse strings next summer again without FFP hanging over us.

Yep. Cant wait to get back to the good old days of splurging vast amounts of money on useless players and the same old boom and bust cycle starts all over again

Yes…it’s called an owner not prepared to fund any more into the team as there is no cash flow, because he has funded the first stage of the stadium build which is eventually going to cost circa £750m. In addition the club is not generating enough revenue in its own either through prize money or commercial deals.

I will never understand how/why these clubs try to squeeze blood from a stone for PL teams then sell for half that to a team in a different league. Like that midfielder last summer, we were quoted somewhere like 25m and he went to a team in France I think for 10m. Its just crazy. I get that they can place value wherever they want but it just seems like they are cutting off their noses to spite their faces.
