"One day we'll be together again Ashley."
Another one bites the dust. Thank God we have Chairman Bill here to negotiate.

There's realism and then there is despair. Where we are as a club right now does not have to be where we are as a club this time next year. Signing these two would mean this thread will look almost identical going into 24/5. I like how measured some posters are being about the possibility of Young coming in...makes a welcome change from the hysteria...but, unless there is some sort of coaching role attached, we should not be bringing in anybody whose career is effectively overYoung is fine.
It's not what anyone wants to hear but it's where we are as a club now.
He's done well last season and can cover both fullback positions plus possibly either winger positions.
As for Rodrigo, he's got one of the best Xg's for a forward over the last 3 seasons in the Premier League, he'll be decent for a season or 2.
It's not ideal by any means but for a club that has absolutely no money to spend with massive holes in the squad, it's a decent start to incoming transfers.
"Apparently" not.Have we actually bid for him though.
We want him according to Bobble. No actual bid. We can't afford him.Have we actually bid for him though.
That leaves us with Rodrigo and/or Piroe if current media are to be believedAnother one bites the dust. Thank God we have Chairman Bill here to negotiate.

He's another injury prone hasbeen that is too old. If we ended up signing Ashley Young, Rodrigo and Zapata, we would be in so much trouble. Sure Dyche would be happy with those kinds of players though. If Atalanta are signing him I presume Zapata becomes available, wasn't he linked in the January window?
We'll sign Rodrigo, I reckon. Which is only a palatable deal if we sign younger talent in other positions. We are creating more financial nightmares ahead if we don't invest in younger talent. That leaves us with Rodrigo and/or Piroe if current media are to be believed
For sure, but if we're looking to spend our limited money elsewhere in the squad, then it makes sense. There's realism and then there is despair.
