Yes…it’s called an owner not prepared to fund any more into the team as there is no cash flow, because he has funded the first stage of the stadium build which is eventually going to cost circa £750m. In addition the club is not generating enough revenue in its own either through prize money or commercial deals.

Young is very old, but he has still been playing at a standard above us as recently as last year. Played a good number of games in his 2 seasons back at villa. Good utility man as he can cover both full back positions. It's a very unexciting signing, but it might end up being a useful pragmatic one.

I think if we had sorted out the forward areas and maybe signed our "marquee" signing already I think the reaction would be calmer. That's if it's happening at all of course

Technically the order they come in the door doesn’t matter til a ball is kicked, but yeah if Young is first in the door it’ll be seen as a worrying sign rather than the sensible transfer it probably is. Just got to hope forwards are in quickly now too to set minds to rest.
