Selling Gordon in January I guess meant that we did not have to do an urgent sale like we had to do it last year with richy. Perhaps also give moshiri flexibility in looking for investment as money was not desperately needed for both day to day operations and the stadium.

Also have to look at his behaviour, leading up to him going. We couldn't have kept him, he wanted to go and the team spirit improved after he left.

At this rate if we had been relegated we'd have been facing administration. No doubt. Still have to try and move forward though. Delaying relegation from one season to another is not a strategy. It seems the aim is 17th again.

Kenwright remains in situ. If the aim is at least 17th again, we're not exactly maximising the chances.

I've had it with Everton. We needed a profound reorganisation this summer. Instead, six weeks on we got cosmetic change, Bill in da house, and Ashley Young being presented as a canny addition.

You can find it ignorant Eggs but when I come onto the transfer thread to look for optimism about potential new signings on this lovely Sunday afternoon...

I'm met with a thread of doomsdayers trying to out-do each other with who can come up with the most negative thing to say.

I get it, the clubs a 5hit show but I'm sick of seeing people saying we aren't going to spend a penny after spending every single summer transfer window prior.

Reading hyped up negativity is absolutely boring.

Agreed Eggs, those comments are particularly laughable at the moment given the dire situation we find ourselves in; 30 odd minutes from relegation, Kenwright still somehow here, run abysmally for years, now resorting to selling all our youth players etc. But indeed, anyone who acknowledges that is a bedwetter.

…so you want everybody to be optimistic despite our recent transfer failings, our brushes with FFP and general mismanagement. Anybody who isn’t positive is a ‘bedwetter’.

I think most posters are being realistic.
