Summer transfer window 2023

See below - what would you do if you were KT?

- EBT chose Atalanta
- Dia not sold on Everton + Maupay wages an issue
- Gnonto held up as Leeds driving the price up a week before the championship start
- Iheanacho still on tour + Leicester struggling with Piroe deal
- Outgoings could give more room to manoeuvere (wait until mid/late august?)
- 10-12m downpayment is maximum available atm
- Ilman Ndiaye long term target but SU wanting 30m+ despite out of contract next season
- Barkley considered
- Disagreements in the club if we want an experienced CB or young/promising. Will only sign 1 if any

Probably hire scouts outside of Great Britain.

We all know he's coming, just need to accept it. I'd rather him up front than Maupay or Danjuma though for sure.
Agree and I think he would fit our style of play. However bringing in Weghorst I like another striker capable of playing in different positions. Also we should get rid of Maupay

Watched them a few times last season, they are decent going forwards and don't give you a minute.
Can see them doing OK early season till teams work them out

Exactly my thoughts. Those new clubs thag come up can get a bit of a roll early doors but eventually either run out of steam or teams work them out

So are we at this? Kinda? Danjuma I don't really know where he's intended to go as he can't play up top on his todd. Either way it's grim. I guess Dobbin and Onyango could go somewhere.

Prob not this bit for starters

But as @Nymzee says, why not scout the next versions of these players for a fraction of the cost?

Scouts are active but money is spent elsewhere rather than on an extensive network. Often scouting reports from abroad are from ‘freelance’ scouts who also recommend to several other clubs
