Payet to West Ham for 14 million. I think we should of used Kev to try and land him in a cash plus player deal. Ive watched him alot in the french league and when he played for Lille and he will be a top top player for West ham this season. Exactly what we need aswell
Why is everyone raving about Payet? I remember it being the same when Remy Cabella went to Newcastle and he has been awful since. The premier league is a big step up for the majority of players from the French league.

He wont cost £30 million up front though, in the long term he may but for now 11 million or whatever he has gone for is definitely worth it

But thats not how clubs look at it, they have commited 30 million on this guy, who we dony know if he is good enough for the prem.

Im made up we have not got him

I think there's better out there than Payet. It just depends on whether we get them or not.

Agreed.

When we sign our own players on new deal, we all
Pick the bones out of the deal, years offered, wage, age etc. Payet would have been a bad deal.

I dont think they look at it like that, who knows what the clubs financial situation could be in the next 2-5 years.

Everton are close to confirming the return of Barcelona forward Gerard Deulofeu in a £5m deal.

The 21-year-old had a successful loan season at Goodison in 2013/14 but spent much of last season on the sidelines during another loan at Sevilla.

Deulofeu believes Everton manager Roberto Martinez is the man to revive his career and has turned down other more lucrative offers to return to Merseyside.

Personal terms have been agreed and it is believed Barcelona will insert a buy-back option into the deal for some future point should he develop as they once hoped.
