They are truly terrible. We had a decent squad last season, but still was poor. Now if we would of kept the same squad that got relegated from the prem, we would of 100% got relegated again from the championship. We have them next and I expect nothing less than 3 points.

Our fans weren't over the moon by his appointment, but a lot thought he could get the job done. It's been far from pretty and I have at times been borderline in thinking he should go. I'm glad we never sacked him, because we need stability, and he eventually gave us that. We are so poor at times, I must admit, but we seem to be getting there. we really should be looking at automatic promotion, we won't get that, and the play offs will probably decide our fate. The fans don't really like him, and if he fails to get us up this season, he will be gone.

I can only conclude your board love winding up the vans with ex Blues managers. You'll sack Bruce and get Gary Rowett in...
 
I'd just like to register my disdain for the notion that Villa fans are superior to Sunderland's.

Doubt it, we are borderline with FFP. We spent huge last season, like 80m huge. Was arrogant enough to think if we robbed the so called top players from the championship we would go straight back up.
 
One thing I did hate about Everton was your stubbornness when we were both battling it out for the top 4-6 in the prem. you spent far less, but we couldn't get away from you. Aston Villa v Everton is football royalty, imo. Not the greatest game in the world, but just reading it out makes you think of grand old things. I'm a traditionalist, me .

He also reckons the Villa Brum derby is the second biggest derby in English football. Didnt even bother to argue to be honest. One of my fave non EFC matches was at your place, versus Athletico Bilbao or Madrid . (Red and white stripes, blue shorts).

Collymore scored a beauty at the Holt End. Corporate jolly. Met Deadly Doug before the match.
