So on drugs then? Thought as much.

He also reckons the Villa Brum derby is the second biggest derby in English football. Didnt even bother to argue to be honest. One of my fave non EFC matches was at your place, versus Athletico Bilbao or Madrid . (Red and white stripes, blue shorts).

Collymore scored a beauty at the Holt End. Corporate jolly. Met Deadly Doug before the match.
It's a Derby that still holds its madness, although the police are doing their best to kill it off. It's by no means anywhere near the biggest, but it's what I like to call a proper old school Derby.

That was against Madrid, but we did play Bilbao in the earlier round. Exciting times they were. Deadly Doug, the man who rescued us, then held us back. A true gentleman though, and villa mad.

It always, the derby, comes across as dead nasty.

Anyrate, best of luck. I look at some PL fixtures this weekend and despair at the number of crappy clubs in the top flight. They deserve it like, but too many top clubs missing imo.

It can be bad, especially at their place. Yeah, I see where you are coming from, but as you say they deserve to be there.

Has Coleman not learnt from every single other manager who took the poisoned chalice of Sunderland?

First day of training...assembles squad...checks badge on his tracksuit...checks calendar on his phone....

"Phew, I thought I'd taken the Everton job by mistake, and gone back in time 10 years"

I'm optimistic Coleman will be a success with us. I think, hes probably the best we could have got (Given our woeful resources). Saturday, was simply 2 awful teams and all of the goals were the type you'd see at Sunday league level.

Still, least we showed a bit of fightback to not roll over and die once we went behind. But, we really needed 3 points from that game.

Fully expect Villa to turn us over, but would be just like Sunderland to pull a rabbit out of the hat in a game most have down as a home banker.

Realises that he hasn't jumped that much further into time after leaving Wales then.

? ?????

Sunderland became the first team in English football history to fail to win in 20 successive home games in all competitions, drawing against Millwall.

You've won something like 3 home games this year

So no, it wouldn't be like Sunderland at all to win the game.

3 points is all I want, sod the performance, but in all honesty we should be comfortable winners. I will be very annoyed if we slip up tomorrow.
