As mentioned before, liquidation would be a remedy for your current problems. It would be a tough medicine, sure, but probably necessary at this point. Deep down, I think you know this.

Please don't send me any pictures.

100% rubbish? I have accurately predicted the demise of Sunderland every weekend for the last two months. I'm essentially Nostradamus for the north-east failing clubs. Again, those were a set of bullet points, a roadmap for the saving of what is barely salvageable from the rotten red-and-white carcass. A failure to grasp the nettle now, and who knows?

Sunderland fans, as a fanbase, do lack the spine and self-respect to really address the main issues; just look through this thread. 'Think we'll lose this weekend'... 'Ashley Williams would be our best player lol lol' 'got a soft spot for your club' etc etc. It's head patting, we don't need it.

See how much better it is when your mask slips? A rare bit of fight-back here. Your club NEEDS this, not the invertebrate zombies who go on away trips in drips and drabs and cry about the players not coming over to clap them.

And all I am doing is helping to draw this out.

I'm not claiming to be 'in the known' as that would be a fundamental lie. However, I do know enough, to know that despite our financial woes, liquidation is not enough close at this stage, the books will have to balanced, there's no denying, our crippling debt is absolutely huge, but we're not at the Portsmouth stage just yet - Please trust me on this ;)

Okay, I won't send you pictures, so now you can retract your lie that I wasn't at the game - Cheers.

Yes you have, and so have I, which just contradicts your argument that I'm constantly defending Sunderland, on the contrary, I'm disgusted how the club has been run.

I honestly don't see it as head patting, how is me, conceding that one of your worse players would walk into the Sunderland team head patting? It's basically me, admitting, even your crap would prosper in our team such is our current situation, it's not head patting, it's quite the opposite, head patting would be me saying "We're not a million miles from your club, we're both going through a tough time, I feel sorry for Everton, I hope you come out of your current bad run, as you're far too good to be where you are" which is absolutely not what I'm saying. You keep hinting on that I'm being condescending or patronising and I'm genuinely not. How could I be?

I don't mind Everton, I don't skip-down-the-street singing Lou Reed's 'It's a perfect day' classic when they win, nor do I lose much sleep when you lose, but I prefer you to win over most other teams - Why is that seen by you as 'head patting'.

I'm well aware what the club needs mate. The irony is, some of what you say (I must reiterate 'some') is true, but it's washed down with pathetic insults and very defamatory poison.

The way you speak you come across as a reasonably bright bloke, with a good insight of football knowledge. So, shouting stuff like "You're a bunch of toxic navel-gazers" is beneath you quite honestly. Let me guess, me giving you praise is 'head patting' too is it?

But, you're entitled to your view, and I'd like to end this conversation on a positive note, Ronaldo or Messi?

Edit - Your also right about the mentality of some fans is 'cringey', like when we celebrated like we had won the league when we beat Everton and stopped up. With players doing lap of honors, it stunk of 'small club' mentality and I left at full-time, relieved, but embarrassed that full grown-men were hugging eachother, happy to just stop up and not compete. I didn't stop to 'celebrate' and walked home, so you're right there.

???????

Of course you went yesterday...

No retraction necessary.

very defamatory poison.

Absolutely nothing defamatory in any of this. No one is being accused of abuse, corruption, embezzlement etc etc. Evaporating support? Backed up by statistics. Club poorly run? Backed up by the financials. Terrible side with useless players? Backed up by results. I'll presume you were just angry here.

so you're right there.

I know mate, and if you'd let the keyboard cool down a bit, you'd realise it too. It might be horrible to accept, but it is accurate.

You are taking a lot of these accusations too personally.

You keep hinting on that I'm being condescending or patronising and I'm genuinely not. How could I be?

This is the problem with Sunderland fans in general on here, not limited to you and you are not even close to the worst offender. I do genuinely dislike Sunderland and I don't quite know why there needs to be a whole thread on them, and it was started by the very worst head-patter we have. But there is one; and just like Martinez threads, Kenwright threads, Steve Walsh threads etc etc they only keep moving on when some people are 'for' the subject, and some people are 'against'. Otherwise you get a graveyard forum like TEF because everyone hates Kenwright (fair), everyone loves Moshiri, everyone hates etc etc. Quite why @Sunderland afc thinks we can't criticise Sunderland on here is beyond me.

First post in this thread

Anyway our relegation campaign, sorry promotion campaign starts tomorrow night live on sky v derby. Not expecting much and will be happy with a point. In truth I'm in the pub from 4.30 so will be happy to make the match.

Packaged for you very neatly.

Hi Sunderland fans.

I strongly suspect whatever curse your club is under is currently afflicting Everton.

Is there some all powerful Warlock in Newcastle who has put a he's on Sunderland and Everton? It has to be the answer.

someone photoshop Osman's head on this

Sunderland win and Newcastle lose, must be a while since that last happened. When was the last time we won and the RS lost on the same day?

I think you're right! You'll turn it around like, once you Bolasie back and once you get the Watford Manager in (If you do get him of course) - You'll win a few off the bounce. I have to be very careful what I say because I'll have Orly accusing me of 'head patting' you (Whatever that means).

 lol

Enjoy your saturday night sunderland fans, god knows your due a good one. Made up for you. Lets hope we win and complete a good double for us.

Thank you mate. Long overdue, it's quite sobering how we're all made up over a win over the mighty Burton. Beating teams like this, should be expected but such is our current form, we'd think we'd have won the Champions League! I'm hoping it's a spring-board to a few wins, starting at home to Reading our Saturday (Very much a game we should be hoping to get 3 points from). But, knowing us, we'll lose on Saturday and be very much back in deep trouble.

I'd expect a good crowd for Coleman's first match, (As good as can be in our circumstances obviously) and hoping we'll make it a good atmosphere too.

I'll be watching your match too, from work. Southampton are a 'funny' team, you never know what you're going to get. They've not been in great form, they also struggle to score goals so if you can nick a goal on the counter, you've every chance of nicking something. I watched that Atlanta game midweek and you looked really poor, although it was a dead-rubber for you and you didn't put a full team out did you?

Caught the highlights of the Burton game,it was poor to be honest but 3 points are 3 points, really need to get that home victory and get the monkey off your backs,Reading havent been any great shakes and a couple of wins back to back could make a huge difference
