OK, we get it.

Sunderland were the better team and were controlling the game until a ten minute spell in which your players committed Hari Kari and allowed Everton to fluke the points.

If Sunderland keep on controlling games they will soon be racing up that table ;)

I don't think I ever suggested we were controlling it - rather just that we were entirely comfortable and it just didn't feel like a goal was imminent from either side. Defensively, that ten minutes was an unprovoked horror show. None of those goals should be conceded at this level. It's a worry.

Spot on with this, I'd be a bit worried about Barkley now as the position he plays is integral to whether we click or not, he was not at the races on every level last night, positioning, linking play, running with the ball, passing and ultimately his confidence was shot, Mirallas was a much better fit in the 2nd half and together with Del (who I didn't think was great either but it wasn't as crucial as he was playing in the right areas) and bolasie opened up the space to get in behind...........I think he has to start with the 2nd half team on Saturday, why change that??

Just horses for courses tbh mate. It's a nice problem to have - Ross will be fine.

Think Del was great myself in that he had a real impact - though similarly he was wasteful when he got into those positions. But fortuantely he'd caused enough havoc in the meantime for our other players to have caught up

BTW, Ross will be fine.

Tried too hard to have an impact last night and ended up just stuttering. He didn't play any worse than Rom or Kev in that first half, but it was the right change by Koeman. The lad will bounce back.

One thing I like about Ross is he doesn't hide when things are going bad for him.

His bad display was so noticeable in the first half because he never stopped trying to impact on the game.

Watmore is utter poo. He'll be playing for somebody like Cambridge United in two years. He receives the ball, head down, charges forward, usually gets tackled, sometimes stumbles past a player, then messes it up anyway. Probably as bad as Anichebe.

You missed him getting booked for simulation after stumbling past.
Loved his post-match interview too, haha. Kept on saying "we go again" (reminded me of Slippy G, think that's why I found it so funny) and was pulling loads of silly faces. Think Moisty refused to do his Sky interview (or did he do it a lot later than Koeman's? I was watching until about 20 mins after the game) so they grabbed whichever player they could.

Indeed.

For all Kev usually plays out wide I don't regard him as a winger in the traditional sense.....the way Bolasie takes that ball right to the line and whips in crosses from seemingly impossible angles.

As you know I had reservations about Bolasue, Toff.......but that performance last night had me thinking of boys we had in the 70s whom spent their time doing that every game.

John Connolly, Ronnie Goodlass and Dave Thomas of blessed memory :):)
What was the Ronnie Goodlass song ?
