That little lad has now reached his target with our donation on top, there's a few 100,000 Sunderland fans who now support EFC by the looks of their forums too.

And with good reason, too.

Last night our club made a magnificent gesture re the young lad.

And last time we were there we gifted them three points which at one fell stroke kept them up and relegated the Barcodes :)

I said last night at half-time how in the first half there were so many times where there was a good 20-yard gap between our midfield and Rom, and neither Kev nor Barkley were making moves into it to link the play. That led to Rom having to come back and of course, losing possession, which led to the Sunderland counters.

Second half we had Del moving in and out like you say, with Bolasie similarly on the other side causing havoc, while Kev was able to drift from being next to Rom to going next to Gueye and Barry pretty much. It worked as there was loads of space after we bagged our opener.

Spot on with this, I'd be a bit worried about Barkley now as the position he plays is integral to whether we click or not, he was not at the races on every level last night, positioning, linking play, running with the ball, passing and ultimately his confidence was shot, Mirallas was a much better fit in the 2nd half and together with Del (who I didn't think was great either but it wasn't as crucial as he was playing in the right areas) and bolasie opened up the space to get in behind...........I think he has to start with the 2nd half team on Saturday, why change that??

Just watched the match again via Sky highlights show. I didn't realise Bolasie stole the match ball off Lukaku during the post-game meander on the pitch.

Barks wasn't doing his part to be available and help pressing.
People label him as a luxury player, and while sometimes undeserved, he surely played like a luxury yesterday.
Drifting in and out, not bothered if he doesn't want to, misplaced the simplest of passes and lay-offs at times.
