Hurry up Villa and sign him!!! I really can't see Moyes spending 5 million on Distan. He wouldn't pay that money for a 23 year old international in the last year of his contract from Arsenal so I doubt he will spend it on a 31 year old non international from Portsmouth who is also in the last year of his contract. There seems to be some sort of issue with Taylor. As I heard it, Ashley won't sell him as he's expected as part of the package the new buyer will get.

TBH, if Moyes does want him, I'd just get in there with an £8m offer, tell them we need an answer straight away. We were overpaid for Lescott, and now we will have to overpay for our new lads. We haven't time to expect it to be any different. It'll go to £7m at least anyway, and that will be after another week or negotiations. We need him now.

This is assuming we can agree terms with the lad.

IMO 4 mill at best for Distin. But would really like Moyes to upset the Hammers and go for Upson. I rate him. Common Davey get in there and wrap up Wheater or Shwacross with him.
