I'd rather have Distin for 2/3 years then Senderos, whos not quality now, for five years mate.

I work with a couple of Arsenal fans, in their words "was promising but has turned out sh*te".

They'd bite our hand off for anything over 5 million.

Hardly "quality now" and we need someone who can perform now, ie Distin.
 
Nah - I saw him play a few times and hes just a bit slow for their system - too high a line.

He'll be an absolute collusus in our system.

I must say ive never really been a big fan of Distin but he has got talent, thats for sure.

Sometimes we have to buy players without looking at how much we can sell them for. Its how you move forward, a mixture of up and coming players and old stagers.

Whilst the fee of £5m makes me cry, in this inflated market its not bad, we should get a good 2-3 years out of him at least.
 
I always rated him when I seen him, strong, quick and domineering in the defence which is what we need now as Yobo is not the latter.

Senderos always left me a bit underwhelmed.

Moyes knows what he's doing so I'll leave it to him as Ive been wrong plenty of times before.

Senderos is only 22-23 years old though. Cant really write him off. And for his age he's played at the highest level.

IMO we should get him and Distin for a total of £10mill.

Massively wrong on that. I also switch my opinions on Fellaini and manage to get away with it for some reason.

I'd be happy with both of them, experience for now and potential for later. Good combo.
 
distin is huge. a real beast.

he is only 4 years older than lescott.

i think 22 mil for lescott at 27 is pretty awesome business when it all settles down.

i'm pretty sure moyes is going to bring in 2 center backs so distin and either wheater or senderos look like good business.
