Hangeland is very overrated and way too expensive.
Yes, he somehow tried to destroy all the good work of Fulham players and coaches done regarding improving their defensive qualities, but he even failed with it. He clearly sucks.
He is expensive, too expensive for us, but he is a quality defender, who proved himself last season, unlike most of the other candidates we are looking at

Like I said before - Distin and Senderos for 10m combined would be a good business. I really don't want Taylor or Huth, Shawcross is too expensive, we weren't for Bassong (even if we should) and Wheater, even if I rate him, is too injury prone.

Huge respect for Dunne to be fair to the lad.
May not be at the top of his game anymore, but top drawer defender in his day, especially during his spell as City.

If SSN are correct in saying we've both had a bid accepted for Distin then he's far from off their radar. But it looks as though Distin will be choosing Goodison.

If they can pull both Dunne and Distin, we're horrible at securing transfers or nobody wants to play for Everton. Goodison must seem like Fiji or Bali to Russian Billy.

nar i would deffo have him very strong player better then joey yobo give the lad a go

Pompey expect him to go:

Pompey receive bid for Sylvain Distin from Everton

Peter Storrie admitted he expects Sylvain Distin to head to Everton following interest.
The Blues do not want to sell their skipper and earlier this month opened talks on a new contract for the 31-year-old.

Yet, following the side's third loss of the season, Distin announced his intention to quit Fratton Park after two years.

Storrie has reiterated the anticipated departure is not a decision enforced by the financial situation.

But the central defender is adamant he wants to go.

He added: 'Sylvain told us that he wanted to go and we have had a bid from Everton.

'I expect him to go, although I'm not quite sure how soon.

'It is disappointing because we would have liked to have kept him.

'We even offered him a new contract.

'We had previously turned down approaches, too.

'But Sylvain wants to go.
