Do consortiums ever work as an ownership model?
It's starting to look like him and Usmanov are just Kenwright and Green all over again. It will be interesting to see if Mosh wants to sell up, or possibly looking for an investor(s) to fill the [cough] Uncle Uz void to lessen his exposure to risk.
Being a contrarian for the sake of it doesn’t make him cool. He was an utter failure as a football club owner and now spends his days taking shots at others who, however incompetent, have still done a better job than that Just For Men guzzling little gremlin.I actually don't mind Simon Jordan.
I think he is a dic* but he does challenge traditional pundit logic. Atleast he doesn't go along with narratives
He hates Kia Joorabchian with a passion so it can't all be bad though.Being a contrarian for the sake of it doesn’t make him cool. Just to add to this...
The play for the Americans would be to buy the club from Moshiri.
Restructure the business from top to bottom + open the stadium.
Then bring in the Chinese.

That will be disaster.
It's simple enough to understand: the Ukraine War, the following sanctions that took place and the marking of cards of any football club with Putin associations (direct or otherwise) ended Moshiri's reign here at Everton. They obviously put a bomb under Chelsea to get Abramovic out as he was low hanging fruit; Usmanov and Everton were slightly less obvious and less in the public gaze (regardless of the efforts of that freak MP Chris Bryant).Agreed. The one thing this story probably illustrates though is that Moshiri is likely receptive to buyers now in a way that maybe he wasn’t a year ago. I mean there’ll always be parties interested in Everton but for hacks to start talking about heads of terms without any denouncement from the club is an indicator that it’s a bit more than just window shopping at the moment.
Alternatively flush out interest and drive up price ??Flush out interest and drive down price.
If he is hearing proposals for a consortium to buy the club, I think he's looking for a way out. He tried to play real life football manager, and failed spectacularly, and it's cost him hundreds of millions of his own personal wealth. Usmanov can't back him anymore. They might have both decided it's time to find another hobby.Unless Mosh wants to sell...he's pressed the big reset IMO (again) and I'm more comfortable of the future now (Lampard, new DoF, restructuring) than I was last season. If he'd not done anything, then I'd be worried.
This new group popping their head in doesn't scream like greener pastures.
Roma?Of course. But like I said...one is a carefree hobbiest billionaire...the other is a business and profit first billionaire.
Can't really find an example of a successful American owner that hasn't ruined a club in some form. FSG over at the RS but even then are heavily reliant on Klopp. If they had anyone less of a success than he is...they'd be closing the bank accounts down
hahaha no Chinese owners will be allowed near the premier leagueJust to add to this...
