Osborne's arranged a deal where Britain get off paying the full £1.7B bill. Instead it pays two £850M bills.

That's why we put Old Etonians in charge.

The majority of immigrants do try to fit in and are relatively successful in doing so. We then in turn should be welcoming to them and maybe we pick up some of their cultures as well.
You are running with this idea that there's a lack of respect based on isolated incidents with regards to soldiers. Again, it's a small portion of immigrant populations that do resent the military in this country and they aren't just going to forget previous allegiances or bonds or relatives they've lost when they move to this country. We aren't condoning it but I'm not sure why they should implicitly just love our armies because they live here.

Anyway, I had hoped that Milliband would be a policies politician this time round. Doesn't seem to be the case or he isn't being given the chance to be.

There are some 'cultures' I want absolutely nothing to do with over here and neither should you.

You do get to choose what amount of distance you want between yourself and these influences. If you don't like them they are avoidable.

Not when it's taking over our towns and cities en masse and building its places of worship (sometimes digging up graves of dead native people to do so) not in accordance with the needs of the population.

Good to see he's not lost the common touch isn't it.....
The Baronet of Ballentaylor and Ballylemon fought his way up through the ranks as a prize fighter in rural Ireland; scrapping for small purses with the local gypsy population at county fairs.

Let no man say George hasn't paid his dues.

That's the way foreign ministers in Europe are viewing it though - £850M as an instalment.

The whole thing baffles me to be honest mate. Rebates and all sorts of mucking about with formulas and the black economy. In the grand scheme of things, it isnt really that much money.
