Your commentary is not entirely coherent but I accept that you are concerned about the environment which of course we all should be but just because Michael Meacher says it doesn't mean it's true.

I'm not sure any of the parties really care about the environment at the moment. It even seems to be rather lacking from the Greens. It seems, unfortunately, to be one of those topics that's only really a priority during good times.

only caught the end of what he was saying but said it had got bogged down and was not going to happen anytime soon if at all, didnt catch the full thing, so might have got the wrong end of the stick.

There was a thing in the news yesterday about there being discussions around the legal side of things. Maybe it was related to that. I'd be amazed if anything like this ever happened quickly, much less on schedule.

There was a report on the NHS yesterday on the news saying that the Tories have cut out-patient care so much that patients are being kept in hospital beds upto 6 weeks from when they should have been discharged.

One old fella had to stay 45 days after he was deemed fit to leave, stopping 8 operations to other people because he's taking up the bed.

The Tories are absolutely clueless, it was estimated their cuts in the out-patient care has cost upto 800m as a knock on effect.

Can someone please explain to me, in words of one syllable, why Cameron is so intent on having Greens present before he'll join any TV debate?

I guess he's sort of trying to say that UKIP are no bigger a party that the Greens, thus trying to belittle UKIP, in the hope they'll be excluded from any debates and prevent them from railroading the Tory campaign.

I think he also hopes that the Greens will have a similar effect on Labour to that which UKIP are having on the Tories.

i think you've nailed it there. He's trying to say that UKIP are a 'minor' party like the Greens. However love or loathe UKIP i think he insults the intelligence of those that would actually tune into the debate by assuming this tactic would have any influence .

Have the debates without Camoron, who does he think he is?, just have an empty stand where he should be on the stage to underline the fact he's running scared.

It will hurt him more not being there with regards to public opinion on him.

i think theres a threat not to go ahead with the debates if he doesnt take part according to the Telegraph http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/pol...-screen-TV-debates-without-David-Cameron.html
We should not let him dictate anything, go ahead without to show what a coward he is, his insistence on having the Green's involved is not fooling anyone, he should be more concerned with going head to head with Milliband and Farage and getting the better of them, that's what a proper leader of the current government would do.
