You asked me what would happen if 7 billion people came to the UK, and you call my argument foolish? I think you have been brain-washed by the right wing press in believing that immigration is a problem in this country.

So you would have totally uncontrolled immigration then? No idea who comes in, from where, for how long, and who with?

When did you jump to that conclusion? Broadly, the system we have used over the last 10-20 years is fine. What I am arguing against is the need for more boarder control.

I'm talking about a 'points based' system. Pete and I are are debating based on current immigration, ie; he thinks it's too lax and I don't think its an issue.
