Something like...

285 C + 25 LD + 10 Unionist and UKIP only get the Tories to 320, whether in a formal coalition or an informal pact.

275 L + 46 SNP + 25 LD + 3 PC and Green get them to 349 if the LD's decide to jump coalitions!

But as Ed has said, Labour won't enter an electoral pact with the SNP so the post-elections shenanigans might now be more limited.
I think they can do it - the numbers will be there. But they'll be caned daily by a rabid media. This is why there is such an imbalance in our media, for just these sort of occasions when the right requires the 5th estate to rescue them. It'd be a long drawn out coup if Labour dont have the numbers to clearly call themselves the winner in so called 'moral' terms.

Could a Lab / Lib coalition in a confidence supply arrangement with SNP be a possibility
It'd be much harder for the media to attack, that's for sure. I dont know if that would cause friction in Labour's ranks then though. There are many LP members who would see the LD as partners as a red line issue.

So a formal Lab / LD coalition and an informal electoral pact with the SNP for when they need them. As much a use of words as anything else, so there doesn't appear to be any backtracking on what was said during the campaign.

Labour may have to rely on Ed to impress as a minority PM so that if a defeat in the House leads to a snap election, he can still get a mandate. it was a lot easier in 1974!

Is it only losing a vote of no confidence that can now trigger a general election within the five year fixed term?

One things for sure: Cameron will go down in history as one of the most pathetic PMs ever. Couldn't get a majority when the LP was on its knees in 2010; does even worse in 2105 and is now reliant on a terrorist supporting political party and a racist party to try and keep him in power.

What on earth are the huff doing publishing that crock of bull?

6 weeks ago maybe Miliband you could argue was a problem for swing voters but not so much now. As for the diehards - he won them over a long time ago. What a steaming pile of crap that article is.
