You know what, the only excuse for The Tories doing so well is that people must be pretending to hate them

In Public, they join in with everyone else in having a go at them, but in Private they vote for them

Like I have said before, when you go in that box, your principals go out the window and look at who'll put the most money in your pocket. QED

There's actually precedent for this. Across the pond, people identifying as Republicans have dropped while independent ID has gone up, but election results really haven't changed at all over the past few years.

Basically, what's happening is people see the abhorrent stuff that the Republicans are doing and claim they're not a part of it, but when push comes to shove they still vote for them.

If the exit poll results prove to be true, wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar dynamic going on for you guys.

If Labour get trounced UNITE reckon they're gonna pull funding and start their own political movement !
This was over a year ago so be interesting to see what happens !

That'd be the end of Miliband and Clegg, with Miliband going down as the worst Labour party leader ever... Just can't be true surely?

Still think that one goes to Michael Foot.
But yeah, anyone who seriously sees Ed Miliband as "PM material" has serious blinkers on. Say what you like about Cameron but at least he carries the air of a statesman.
