FA WSL 1 SUNDAY 29TH JANUARY-12.30PM KO
CHELSEA LADIES 1 EVERTON LADIES 0

7th placed Everton Ladies playing only there 3rd league game in nearly 3 months due to winter breaks and extended breaks inbetween games, were away to 2nd placed and unbeaten Chelsea Ladies, and Everton put in a pretty decent performance,on 9mins the chelsea keeper did well to keep a chloe kelly free kick out,but 6mins later on 15min the 1st real talking point was Everton having a goal disallowed When sweetman-kirk was classed to be offside, she finished it anyway, but to me was it either on or very tight for offside, with no replay shown,

on 22mins Everton were awarded a pen when chelsea's Asante pulled down Sweetman-Kirk,sweetman kirk steped up to take the pen,she sent the keeper the wrong way but also hit the post, right from that pen miss chelsea broke upfield with Blundell firing a shot which was creeping in at the near post, but Everton kepper Durack did brilliant to keep it out,on 44mins an inswinging free kick was somehow missed by the toffees ladies in the box, with the ball just missing going in far post, then right on ht,Chloe kelly a new permanent signing this week having been on loan put in an excellent cross from the right along the ground, that sweetman-kirk just failed to get,Everton could feel unlucky not to be ahead that half but 0-0 it was at HALF TIME

Everton began the 2nd half brightly as well,Georgia Brougham flicking a header on that the keeper dealth with quite easy, Carney on 52 was close for chelsea before 2 quick chances in a min for chelsea, the 1st Crystal Dunn twisting and turning in the box fired right at the keeper from less than 10 yards out, seconds later Carney forced another good stop from Durack via a deflection,it was all chelsea the last 5 or more mins.Kirby on 68mins then had a stabbed effort through a crowd of players from the edge of the area that the toffees keeper did well to save,on 70mins chloe kelly for everton had a shot flash wide via a deflection after a pass back from a chelsea player not looking who was around her,Ji So-Yun for chelsea had toffees keeper Durack making another very good save low down to the right, but on 84mins Chelsea finally got the goal that looked like it was comming 2nd half when chelsea's Jonna Andersson side-footed into the top corner for her 1st goal for chelsea, after a nice little flick to the left from kirby, who the Everton players were set to block the shot from,The game ended 1-0 to chelsea who have only 3 home defeats in 4 and a bit years,The crowd was a pretty good 1,731

Everton Ladies are in fa womens cup 4th round action next sunday home to Bristol city, and again there is only 1 league game for the Ladies in the next 3 weeks

Well today was the stage were Everton Ladies joined the comp, facing Bristol City women at marine's ground, just a month after they lost 2-1 to Bristol city women in the league, and Everton Ladies on the back of 3 straight losses in all comps, came up trumps by knocking Bristol city women out the FA Cup,the 1st goal arrived on 7mins from Chloe Arthur after winger Loren Dykes got down the right and put in a brilliant cross for Chloe Arthur to slam it home past Everton keeper Levell,Brisol's Lauren Hemp the scorer of the 2 goals that beat everton in the league was next to try her luck with a volley that was just over the bar on 11mins,Everton's 1st chance came on 12mins when Angharad James shot from outside the box was easily saved by Bristol citys and wales u17s keeper Aimee Watson,on 14 mins Levell saved well after a fierce strike by Julie Biesmans,on 27 Charlie Estcourt was next to try her luck for Bristol when her shot just flew past the post,on 42 Millie Turner then fired over after good work from Lauren Hemp down the left ,half time came with the score at 1-0 to Bristol City who were way on top

On 51mins after a wayward pass from our defender Gabby george, the ball felt to Hemp who tried to chip our keeper, but the ball just went over the bar,but on 52 and like a bolt out the blue,Everton made it 1-1 when Olivia chance misplaced cross flew into the side of the net,the goal brought Everton Ladies alive and they were close to going ahead on 55mins when Megan Finnigan shot just wide, but a minute later and Everton Ladies were 2-1 ahead on 56mins when Georgia Brougham headed home after Chloe Kelly’s delivery from a corner,on 66 Everton keeper Levell produced an excellent save to deny Estcourt with a shot from the edge of the box,ON 83MINS Everton sealed the win to go 3-1 up and there place in the 5th round when Olivia chance finished a chloe kelly cross, game ended 3-1 Everton Ladies infront of a crowd of 712

A little reminder of the game between the 2 in the fa cup last season were Everton 2-0 down at ht,and an outfield player [Danielle Turner] in goal for whole 2nd half and the extra time due to keeper injury and no sub keeper, won in the pen shoot
