When you look at how much we've improved yet how far behind we are from the top teams, it shows the level of investment that is going going be needed to get into the top 3. Hopefully we keep up the recruitment drive, invest in homegrown talent coming through as well and in a couple of seasons hole to be competing for for CL spots.
thanksPerfect age that. Took my son to a few reserve games at that age to get used to it. I think Walton Park max capacity is 2k so when fans are allowed back that's a decent number and shouldn't be too noisy.
I predicted 5th and expected a fight for 4th, but that 4th placed team been Man utd-not the current 4th placed Arsenal, man utd have a lot of good players and got all the good free players when they began a few years back, add all the foreign superstars that have gone there has made it harder,When you look at how much we've improved yet how far behind we are from the top teams, it shows the level of investment that is going going be needed to get into the top 3. Its just the usual we have to improve v the better so called top 3 or some now seem to be calling the top 4 with man utd, we play chelsea home next week at walton park on wednesday night, but we have to start a lot better than we did at home than we did in the fa cup when that was at walton park, the away game we just fell apart late conceeding 3 late goals
we also messed up v Reading, birmingham and Brighton at home [the game the ref didnt sent player off after 2 yellows] leading in each game but only for a very short time in each between 3mins to 12mins, 3 games i expected us to winYep, just like the mens team we need them picking up results against the so called big sides. That's how you get to mix it up at the top
This is the side were com etc stand
A blaze which engulfed a stand at the home stadium of Everton women's football team tonight started deliberately.
Fire crews were called to reports of a blaze at Walton Hall Park, where the stadium is based, at 6.23pm.
Two engines raced to the scene where a football stand, scaffolding and plastic netting were on fire sending thick plumes of black smoke into the air.
One of the crews stayed to tackle the blaze which was fully put out by 18.57pm.
Investigations showed that the fire had been started deliberately.
The extent of the damage to the stand and to the stadium is not yet known.
Everton women only moved into their new home at Walton Hall Park in February 2020.
Plans for the stadium, which is about a mile away from Goodison Park, were to increase its capacity to 2,200 seats after renovation work was finished.
Absolutely dreadful. You see the progress that is being made with the Women's Team and moving into a new stadium at WHP and to have it tarnished like that. Hopefully some CTTV will catch the rats that done it likeEverton say they are assessing the extent of the damage to the stadium but the club are still hopeful that Wednesday’s game against Chelsea will go ahead as planned-that is 7pm
