Of course i meant to say sad news here as opposed to year my bad. Nice tribute here on the Carlton website.I have some sad news year, Mario Bortolotto a member of Carlton's 1981 and 1982 premiership winning teams has passed away. He was one of the main reasons Carlton beat Richmond in that 1982 grand final. He did a great job on David Cloke that day.
Well, sure showed me re: Brisbane.Dunno mate, Brisbane looked great the other night, if momentum is with them you never know. Melbourne might be a bit fragile. Geelong overall favourites though.
I have a feeling that the Cats will win, but i'd like to be proven wrong. Geelong keep on contending every year, but they'll fall off that cliff eventually once their older players retire.Well, sure showed me re: Brisbane.
Be interesting to see how they go this week..
As much as I've enjoyed Brisbane's finals run, I'm pleased Geelong won. Think they have the best chance of beating Collingwood (if they get up over the Swans this arvo). Anyone but the Pies!Geelong 120 Brisbane Lions 49, the Cats are into the grand final.
Sydney Swans 95 Collingwood 94! The Pies are out thank god for that!As much as I've enjoyed Brisbane's finals run, I'm pleased Geelong won. Think they have the best chance of beating Collingwood (if they get up over the Swans this arvo). Anyone but the Pies!
Finals this year have been awesome, some really good games. Would prefer to see the Swans win too.Sydney Swans 95 Collingwood 94! The Pies are out thank god for that!In fairness to Collingwood though, they've had a much better season than people were expecting. I doubt even @Sinski expected them to do this well.
The encouraging thing for Carlton is that we pushed two quality teams, in both Melbourne and Collingwood to the limit, but consistency of effort is an issue. Collingwood compete hard in every game, while Carlton don't put the effort in for every game, and we can even switch off during games.
If we can sort that out, and solve the reason why we get so many injuries, then we should hopefully be in the finals next year.
Anyway hopefully we'll have a great grand final, and i'd prefer to see the Swans win. I don't hate Geelong to the same extent that i hate Essendon, Collingwood and Richmond, but i still dislike them all the same!lol
Yep. Pies have had a great season. Can’t be too upset coming from 17th to a prelim final. Hope the swans win the grand final.Sydney Swans 95 Collingwood 94! The Blues last played in a prelim final back in 2000.Yep. Pies have had a great season. Can’t be too upset coming from 17th to a prelim final. Hope the swans win the grand final.
