Carlton 78 St Kilda 93, oh god maybe i did jinx things after all!lol Some very poor goal kicking by Carlton. A deserved win for the Saints really.

Top four is looking a bit shaky now i have to admit. West Coast Eagles in Perth, and then Geelong are up next. They really should be able to beat the Eagles, but the Cats game will be a tough one i think.

North Melbourne have lost to Geelong by one hundred and twelve points, Geelong 144 North Melbourne 32.

This could be the straw that breaks David Nobles back imo. The Roos badly need to get a coach with more experience in imo.

One win and fourteen defeats, man those numbers sure are ugly. These are the Melbourne Demons under Mark Neeld type of performances from North.

Geelong beat Melbourne by 91 points to Melbournes 63 points. Presuming the Cats do make it to the finals again, they really do need to finally make it count this time. Once their older players leave, then they're going to fall off that cliff pretty hard imo.

The Cats of course have no issues with making finals, but actually doing something of relevance once there, has been a problem for them over the past decade.

Could have done with Saints winning tonight.

Headed down tomorrow to watch Carlton. So if they can turn the premiership favourites over, will build momentum into Geelong (which I think we can that also).

West Coast Eagles 53 Carlton 116, as poor as the Eagles have been this year, that was a good win for the Blues after travelling interstate. Geelong are up next, and that game will be way tougher.

Great effort by North Melbourne against Collingwood, they only lost by 81 to the Pies 88 points. The Pies were understandably, targeting that game as a percentage booster.

Still though four points is four points, and that's seven straight wins for the Pies now.

Carlton lose against Melbourne right at the death. If only they played that well against the Adelaide Crows and Brisbane Lions!

I feel that Carlton have made progress this year, but we have a serious problem keeping our players fit, and the players need to learn how to ice a game when it's as good as won. The form in the latter half of the season has kind of fallen off a bit as well.

A high flying Collingwood team are up next. Win and Carlton are playing finals footy, lose and it'll all depend on other results going our way. The Pies will be looking to secure a top four finish as well.

A Carlton and Collingwood game with everything on the line. It doesn't get much better than that really! The Melbourne defeat will either galvanize or crush the players. Hopefully it will be the former and not the latter though Go Blues!

May all be moot after the doggies game if they cough it up.
I'd rather go into the finals after beating the Pies, as opposed to just about stumbling in! That was the best Carlton have played since that win over the Dockers.

The form post bye has been pretty disappointing though. We started the season with just two defeats in our first ten games.

Alastair Clarkson has snubbed Essendon, and will be coaching North Melbourne next year. Hmm having discussions with Clarkson while Ben Rutten is still coach, that's a really unprofessional way of doing business.

I think Rutten should just quit now. The guy has been seriously undermined by the Essendon board. Kevin Sheedy seems to be pushing for James Hird to come back as coach as well.

I'm not sure has that club ever got over the whole drugs scandal fiasco. Oh well all this is an Essendon fans problem not mine!

D Day will be here in about another hour and twenty minutes.

Of course if Hawthorn beat the Western Bulldogs, then Carlton are playing finals footy regardless, but it's Carlton and Collingwood the biggest rivalry in the history of the game.

If the Blues play as well as they did against Melbourne then they can win, but i won't lie i'm nervous enough about this one!

Pies are up by 36 to 17 at half time. A lot of old failings are coming to the surface, but hopefully they might do a lot better in the second half.

Collingwood are up for this, and Carlton so far are not. I hope they make me eat my words here, but this Carlton team seems to have some sort of mental block when it comes to the really big games.

We're in the early stages of the third quarter, Carlton 29 Collingwood 36 so far. Oh and Essendon have sacked Ben Rutten. I wonder who their new coach will be?
