The 2024 AFL Season Thread

The Hawks woes continue.
Stupid, unforgivable, costly mistakes. Sicily & Breust massive culprits - turnovers, missed goals.
Nick Watson needs to find his goal kicking boots - & quickly.
They lose confidence too easily & sink into a hole when the opposition kicks a couple.

Did I mention the ludicrous umpiring decisions. Jack Ginnivan is obviously paying for crimes committed at Collingwood. He could have been beheaded on Monday & wouldn't have received a free.
You were unlucky against Collingwood though! Carlton beat Fremantle by 73 to 63 points. We were losing at the end of the third quarter.

It was a poor enough performance by Carlton but we found a way to get over the line. The Dockers tactics were very negative as well.

Four wins from four for Carlton. The last time that happened was in 1995!

The Hawks again were their own worst enemies. Connor McDonald's miss 30m out, 25 mins gone, was excruciating. Mabior Chol had four shots for one point. Hardwick was outstanding when he went to the forward line, almost won the game singlehandedly - not bad for a guy who has spent his career in the back pocket / half-back flank. Every week it's the same scenario - we fall into a hole & get belted then try to claw our way back out.

Don't fancy our chances against the Suns in Qld this Saturday.

The Bluebaggers are travelling nicely ;)

And Everton finally won :D

I thought Hawks were going to roll them on Sunday, even in the last 15 seconds they had an inside 50 that could have gone either way.

The carry on regarding Cotterell's mark is a joke. No field umpire in real time could see that.
I'd like to see Carlton confidently dispatch Adelaide this weekend. They dismantled us last year in Adelaide.

Carlton 98 Adelaide Crows 100, the Crows first win for the year and the Blues first defeat of the year.

Bit of a kick up the behind that one is! The Blues have some tough games coming up as well.

GWS, Geelong, Collingwood, Melbourne and away to the Sydney Swans are Carltons next five games.
