I’m not a cricket fan at all, but it’s a competitive sport and not a jolly afternoon in the sun. It’s a shame that the gentleman’s approach to the game seems to have gone away but the umpires had little choice really…..

Yep, nothing against the umpires at all, and in the past in similar circumstances they've called it by the law which is appropriate. Comes down to the captains and the culture instilled in each individual team.
