It is over, I doubt the media won't stop stirring it though. Regardless of any opinions on that one incident (mine is definitely that it went on the wrong side of sportsmanship) that was not the reason we lost. 2 of the days there was just too many stupid mistakes with a disregard of the game situation.

If the players can keep the same level of intent with just a bit more game management nous then we can beat this Aussie team. All it necessarily would have took was a couple of players ducking under the ball for a few overs.

agree with those posting their XI for the next test in regards to giving Anderson a rest. But doesn't the loose nature of Bazball mean that Anderson isnt getting enough rest during tests and having to bowl a lot more...

Great post mate.

Still think the Aussies should have recalled Bairstow, but he gave Carey the opportunity by strolling out a number of times and also gave the umpires no option but to give him out. Foolish.

Totally agree about England blowing their own legs off in each of the two tests so far - a bit more control and leaving a few deliveries instead of thrashing and failing a bat at anything that moved and we could easily have won them both, just by playing proper test match cricket.

Really frustrating.
