About 100 years ago they used to, and games could go on for a fortnight, I think off memory the first draw was because the opposition's boat was leaving that day and they had to leave!

No point blaming the weather when England have had the best opportunities in all the tests and should have taken them to be 3 nil up, not taking a proper keeper and picking Robinson has really hurt the English imo.
Test cricket needs to change.
It’s a nonsense not to have a rule in place for a sixth day contingency in cases like this.
Such a fantastic sporting spectacle should not be ruined by the weather.
I don't disagree with this. Test cricket does need to adapt to survive.
However I was delighted at The Oval in '05 when about 60/70 overs were lost to rain to prevent the Aussies from having a 4th innings. Boot is on the other foot now.
Still let's see what tomorrow brings first.

“When I looked at the TV, I saw these really brash, really stubborn, beer-drinking white Australians that were the same kind of guys racially vilifying me while I was playing cricket,” Khawaja explained in an interview for The Drop, The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age’s culture podcast. “I was like, ‘Well, why would I support this team that doesn’t support me?’
“I found that really hard growing up, and I think that bit of resentment still sticks with a lot of young kids, particularly from ethnic backgrounds, that always get called names and racially vilified. ‘Curry muncher’ is the one that sticks out to me the most. I used to get called that all the time.”
