I use mine. Well, I try to. Two don't come out onto wet or salty roads, the other is my everyday transport ... not that I use a car everyday that is.Personally, I've never owned anything special.
But the interesting car I've ever encountered was a friend of my mar's ex-husband.
He once restored and maintained an old Duesenberg convertible from the early 30's similar to this:
Obviously not for driving, lol... He used to take it to car shows.
I don't get that... All that money, time and effort, and it sits in your garage for most of the year, although I'd imagine maintaining something like this must be a royal pain in the arse!
Trying to find spare parts for it must be a headache, though?I use mine. Well, I try to. Two don't come out onto wet or salty roads, the other is my everyday transport ... not that I use a car everyday that is.
Since marriage I am simply not allowed to enjoy good fortune.
This is the #1 reason places like GOT exist and thrive.
Ok, so the blue Ferrari, maroon Cayman, King Ranch Canyonero guy drives a GT4RS, I was greatly mistaken. Beast of a car still, but not a GT3 like the other guy in our garage. Here it is this morning parked next to someone else's KRC.

If you're going to get a Jag mate, you've got to get a model from a year when they had the Jaguar bonnet ornament on the front...I'm going to look at this on Sunday Au$6500 1994 XJ 40.
seller promises a whole lot of verifiable paper work for jobs done, history etc.
It's been up for 12 weeks now.
Subject to a good crawl around, poke, lift of mats for damp etc and a test drive
How low should I go.

You can buy the 'Leaper' I think...If you're going to get a Jag mate, you've got to get a model from a year when they had the Jaguar bonnet ornament on the front...
Now that's boss!
For me, that would be reason enough to bin the whole idea.
I knew a guy back in Auckland NZ who had one stashed away in a shed. And I've seen one parked outside a shop in a one horse town called Tiaro in Queensland when I was driving northWhat about a DeLorean?
A stainless steel loser mobile dreamt up by a drug dealer during a cocaine fuelled haze of insanity...
Has anybody on here ever actually owned one?!?
I turn up at the specified time (9.00am Sunday) nobody in? and the car is parked round the corner??I'm going to look at this on Sunday Au$6500 1994 XJ 40.
seller promises a whole lot of verifiable paper work and recent work done etc.

I’ve sat in a replica from Back to the Future! It was a scouse lad in Texas I think that kept them going from all accountsIf you're going to get a Jag mate, you've got to get a model from a year when they had the Jaguar bonnet ornament on the front...

Been sat ages, water in the brake lines. When you said 'nah, not for me' what was his next move?I turn up at the specified time (9.00am Sunday) nobody in? and the car is parked round the corner??
I fire off a txt and get a reply; I'll be there in 20 if you can hang on - which I can.
I use the time to give the outside a good going over with the magnet not a bit of filler or rust to be found, it really did look as good as the picture.
I was able to get under and give all the floors, boot a good seeing to with the point of a screw driver solid.
So far so good.
Then the guy arrived proceeded to set off the BS meter, apparely it was his daughters who has gone to Uni.
Turns out he doesn't happen to have all this verifiable paperwork with him, nor is it in the car.
Oh, and we'll have to hurry because the road tax runs out on Thursday (in Queensland the rules of sale are convoluted and costly when a vehicle is sold un-taxed)
We finally get the key to work and get it, smells a bit damp, but we've had a shed load of rain recently, the only place I couldn't check was under the front window where the wipers are which has a plastic grille on it.
Took a while to start, oil pressure looked ok
Went for a drive - drives well, brakes sharp.
When you stop at the lights the oil pressure on the guage drops off to 5psi ???
Couldn't get any of the ventilation or Aircon to work.
we played about with fuses and relays for a bit...(I've got a box of that shiz in my landrover )
No go, IMO, the compressors knackered
Even though the body and price were reasonable...maybe for a reason?? In view of the registration and aircon hassles and costs I reluctantly walked away.
Did he get a pic of the daughter ?Been sat ages, water in the brake lines. When you said 'nah, not for me' what was his next move?
Also, a pish take to muck you around and make you wait.
Was he old enough to have a daughter in university?
Did you get a pic of the car all the same?
