Hiya bro hope you are well today what is your weather like.Similar - my pic is the color & paint job of our Scout. Fun 4 Wheeling back in high school, jamming thru the mud and snow.
Can you send me a pic please.Hey, Carlos, good to hear from you. It's lovely here in Colorado at the moment. High temps are in the 60s, the leaves are turning and life is good.
Same. Black Mini 1000. Could fix pretty much anything on it yourself. My first one. A late 1970s red mini. 1000cc of pure freedom ...
Now you tell me ...Dead easy to swap both sub frames.
I'm going to look at this on Sunday Au$6500 1994 XJ 40.
seller promises a whole lot of verifiable paper work for jobs done, history etc.
It's been up for 12 weeks now.
Subject to a good crawl around, poke, lift of mats for damp etc and a test drive
How low should I go.

Got the magnet, I've even got my Amazon endo-scope for looking in rocker-boxes and down petrol tanks...a noted source of shiz.Depending on what you find, I`d offer him 6K.
It`s been on the market for three months, the closer and closer it gets to Christmas and the New Year, the less chance he`ll have of a sale.
If you find any real nasties, walk away, as it`ll turn into a money pit that never moves out of the garage.
It could be the camera angle, but the first thing that caught my eye ( apart from what a stunning car it is ), is the front bumper - doesn`t seem to be sitting right, which could signify that it`s been removed and put back on, for either an accident or it`s been off for something else like rust repairs and paint work.
With it being a Jag of that age, I`d take a magnet mate and have a good go with it around places like the wheel arches, the sills, the door pillars and the floor pans, if you can get to them.
If the owner objects, walk away, as it`ll be full of filler.

Door pillars, floors, boot floor, front and rear window bottom corners.
I'm taking my trolley jack too.
Suspension top bushes have a tendency to go soft and 'crumble'
My biggest worry besides mrs degsy going ape, is where to put it while I move on the landrover
Pretty hard to avoid the sun in Queensland and there are the odd days you can get golf ball sized hailstones. You know you`re stuff !
It needs to go under cover and preferably indoors.
People seem to forget, that the sun can do a hell of a lot of damage to the paint work of old cars, just in a different way to the cold and wet.
Some manufacturers have moved away from white as the basic "free" colour eg the Peugeot 208 has yellow as its "free" colour. Any other colour selected incurs an additional cost.Pretty hard to avoid the sun in Queensland and there are the odd days you can get golf ball sized hailstones.
Red / maroon / Brown colours seem to suffer more damage, I think it's to do with the chemical composition of the pigment
I'd say 65ish% of cars are white, maybe for this reason...it's the basic manufacturers colour now, when the Mrs got her Kia it was an extra Au$700 for a colour
Anyway, got to get it yet.
You've heard of buyers remorse
I often get buyers reluctance, even for a Au$ 20 shirt.
Some days I'll just talk myself out of it and somedays I'll think wtf,
I'll buy 3, one of each colour - never a red one though
All depends which degsy turns up
How have you thrown this up without @'ing the obvious candidate. Crazy man!I'm going to look at this on Sunday Au$6500 1994 XJ 40.

nice tip - this is to check for filler repairs. @chrismpw is the Jag expert, he's christened his new beau 'thirsty'.Depending on what you find, I`d offer him 6K.
