He's a far better model than he is a footballer. Still, his timing with this photo-shoot is as bad as it is in the penalty area.

Good luck to the lad. Recently, he's made more headlines in a skirt than he has in an Everton shirt. Sean Dyche can now hang up the new GQ spread in the Burnley dressing room ahead of tomorrow's match and eschew the team talk. But all hail our new "standard-bearer for new flamboyance." If only he was a standard-bearer for a bit of footballing flamboyance on the pitch. Still, can't demand too much in a part-time job.

Dont care what he does, really. If whatever activity is impacting his playing for Everton i wouldnt be a fan, but i assume putting on weird clothes and being photographed wont lead to injuries etc. Hes a bit weird maybe, but he also seems like a decent person and thats more important to me than how he dresses up for the camera.

Doing a photo shoot is very, very unlikely to impact his ability or preparation as a footballer. If it was and people had evidence for that then I would say criticism would be fair.

Given it's unlikely the case then any criticism is unfair. As long as he's preparing and training to the best of his ability and then giving 100% on match days then I don't see how anyone can criticise anything he does away from the pitch in his spare time.

Critiquing his playing ability is fine. Critiquing his effort on the pitch (if anyone is questioning that) is fine. Critiquing his off the pitch activities is not fine as long as they are lawful (which doing a fashion shoot is, no matter how much it seems to have upset some people).

I have no interest in what he does/wears/says in his spare time to be honest, but it's hardly surprising that people aren't happy when he's popping up all over the place as a celebrity and we're in the state we are. I'm not saying there's a connection between the two, and again I don't have an issue with it personally, but if you choose to stick your head above the parapet at a time like this then you've got to deal with the flak that will inevitably come your way. He's made a choice to publicise himself and that's fine, but it's obviously going to bring greater scrutiny on him, particularly when he's not contributing on the pitch.

This shouldn't even be a question, he can do what he likes.. He is however, a [Poor language removed] football player, catwalk or no catwalk.. and THAT is what we should be talking about. The rest of it is none of our business, you absolute bunch of shallow puddles.
