The David Moyes debate

Dear Damon,

Please explain how saying well done to David Moyes for some good team performances has any effect on my opinion of Martinez as a manager.

Oh wait, it has zero to do with anything. Hope you've got your travel down to Wembley sorted for the 5th. YNWA ?

I remember a few months ago, when certain posters were laughing...
at the idea of Swansea sustaining their attacking football, saying that they would run out of steam towards the end of the season and we would finish higher than them. Well, with 9 games left to play:

8th Swansea P29 GD 0 PTS 39
10th Everton P28 GD -3 PTS 37

I wonder what Brendan Rogers could do with a squad of proven Premiership players...

YOU WHAT LAD?

When we sign someone sh*t it's all Moyes' fault but when we pull off a fantastic signing it's got to be treated as a group effort by unnamed people at the club for some reason. Moyes is the most important factor in who we sign. If someone is suggested Moyes (obviously) watches them, does background checks etc etc and then has final say and his transfer record shows that he's f*cking brilliant at picking the right players and players that can improve over time. Martinez... not so much.

Martinez hasnt had time though. 3 years to Moyes' 10?

And to me, Habsi, Diame, and Moses are all worth double he paid for them so he's half way there...

Mate, i haven't criticised Moyes regarding transfers on the whole. Bily was his biggest failing imo but i don't think anybody would deny his ability to find great players for relatively little.

The point that myself and i believe Kenada are trying to make is that those saying Martinez isn't good enough because he's kept Wigan at the level he has are being ridiculous. At the end of the day he's had no net transfer spends, has lost two of their best players in Valencia and N'Zogbia, and is still keeping them up.

Dear David
I know I've slated you in recent weeks Mr Moyes, but I'd just like to thank you for getting that performance from the team tonight. That's two games in a row where we've played some lovely football. Please keep it up on Saturday.

Nowhere in that post does Brennan say he likes Moyes or wants him as manager.

Clearly the reason he is now unhappy is because the lovely football was not continued.

And people had a go at me when i called him a troll *rolls eyes*.

The greatest troll around that is. You don't get to be TROLLBOI without being good at it.

Shame he keeps ignoring me though, feels like such a hollow victory.

Yes indeed that was me a few minutes ago. Just when I thought you couldn't say anything more stupid than this... I find you did.
