The David Moyes debate

NOBODY IS SAYING THERE ISN'T ANYONE BETTER THAN MOYES, JUST STOP SUGGESTING WORSE MANAGERS. MARTINEZ IS WORSE.

JEEEEESUS CHRIST.

lol

So when someone asks "who can replace moyes?" you either suggest someone who could be realistic within our club....or no one, because no one can/is/will ever be better than Moyes.

That doesn't even make sense.

Of course there are better managers than Moyes, and i agree with the comments from Davek * unbelievably* Whilst Kenwright sits in the big seat, Moyes will have a job because has got us to where we are today ... TODAY .. which means tomorrow ...we need to carry on, Osman, Neville & Hibbert will ALL have a job whilst Moyes has a job, he has SAID IT HIMSELF.

So, no there are numerous managers better than Moyes, but all i see are sh*tty managers who have a splash in the pan and everyone is foaming at the mouth to replace a manager who has seen us through our most difficult chapter as a club.

That is all.

As was said earlier by somebody else.

He took over a Wigan side who where fighting relagation every Season and turned them into a side, that, erm, fights relagation every Season.

Yeah, hes fcking amazing.

I like the part where you totally miss the point.

They haven't had the money back to build the squad, 100% true.

Most of Moyes big sales have been HIS OWN PLAYERS. Lescott, bought for £4m roughly, sold for £24m. Arteta is another, Felli and Baines are world beaters right now, bought with money from player sales that Moyes bought to begin with for cheap.

Ridiculous, irrelevant question.

Why is it ridiculous? It's relevant because you want to swap Moyes for Martinez who is currently hovering above the relegation zone for the 3rd in consecutive seasons.

I'd like to see you argument that having Martinez would be a bonus for Everton, and swapping decent cup runs, and top 10 league finishes is better than yearly relegation fights, and only 3 home wins all season?

Since Wigan were promoted in 2005 = £0 net spend
Since Wolves were promoted in 2009 = £36m net spend
Since Martinez took over Wigan in 2009 = -£9.75m net spend

Wolves are getting relegated. Wigan aren't, despite nearly -£10m net spend since Martinez took over.

Point out the post where i said i wanted to swap Moyes for Martinez please. Oh, and Wigan have reached the same number of cup finals as Everton have since Moyes took over. Awesome.

This is what some of you don't seem to grasp. I'm not saying Martinez WOULD be better, i'm telling you it is absurd for you to say he WOULD be worse, based on nothing but conjecture. Martinez has seen his club stripped of players since he took over and has managed to keep Wigan afloat while higher spending teams fall by the wayside.

so in order to fill this management criteria, you also have to buy cheap and sell for loads?
