The EU deal

Stay in and try to learn from Finland, Sweden etc. Not perfect but they TRY to be a society and include everyone.

I agree we should stay in - I was confused by your original quoting of me and what you were saying, sorry.

If we have a broken society then it would make sense to bring in millions from the poorest parts of Europe to fix it while keeping Uk workers out of a job........EU logic.......

Ok mate - I'll ask you again - what happens to our access to the single market at the negotiation table if you want to take your weird racist delusions to their logical conclusion and reject free movement arrangements?

I didn't say any of that, looks like you've gone a bit incoherent again there, mate. That's a shame you seemed really trustworthy in your assertions before.

Dya reckon globalisation and trade might work differently depending on where you are in the world, mate, which might explain why there are different trade agreements around the world where neighbouring countries stand to actually gain from them? And aren't there actually a few who are banging on the door, in the case where they are in proximity to benefit with free trade agreement with these EU trading partners?

Is our economy just something to whip out onto the table and compare with Germany's, or something? Are there more factors to an economy than just being 'big' and are they currently tied up in the EU membership we're proposing to pull the plug on?

I don't do incoherent. Sarcasm maybe. Which bits of our EU membership will we miss do you reckon. Which bits do you feel we will not be able to replicate or replace. How exactly will we suffer and which companies will do so.

Trade with the Eu consists of less than 10% of our economy. Why do you believe that the cost of membership and the diktats from Brussells in terms of regulation and laws are worth it.

What price would you put on having democratic control of your own country.......

Watch how their generous benefits and welfare system will go the way of the dodo thanks to immigration. It's very easy to afford benefits when the vast majority are well educated and and in good paying jobs. It's a little more difficult when the % of poor uneducated people increase.
You have to invest in society and industry. We invest in property speculation and money laundering through the city. This country is a shambles built on sand.

The racist card.....oh dear...... Other countries have trade arrangements with the Eu without having free movement arrangements......

I will leave you to Boris and the other neo liberal shits who will grind your bones for a bit more profit. Enjoy your democracy.

And we need to fix it. And continually negotiating with 27 other countries while sending them money and allowing unfettered immigration is not the way to do it......

Actually my interest is not that. Its just a principle that I think the more of us that work together the better. If the vehicle to do that can bring free trade, movement of labour and shift funds to where they are needed then great. If a European court can be a further recourse to justice I like that.. If, by being closer we can learn things from countries that do it better then we should and likewise the other way. The more countries involved the greater likelihood of a centre ground. Thats just what I believe and dont think the imperfections of the EU should get in the way of a great idea.

But you've already said labour are split. The tories are split. Scottish nationalist's are a problem etc.

I have no idea why you think we can work with Europe when we can't even work together at home without it all being one big squabble. It might be a great idea but it just doesn't work.

It can. But we need a strong government I agree. Our main parties need to sort themselves out

David Cameron wants us to stay in. That is my reason for a leave vote. I'm fully aware that outside the EU Liverpool will be worse off under this government, but just got to go with your gut feeling

I think we'll end up with a compromise government again, which incidentally I prefer as I didn't like most of the left wing/ right wing governments we've had. I like sensible centre of the road with a strong opposition. We have the wherewithal to fashion a decent country, but we expend so much political energy on Europe that we never seem to address our own real issues. Big is not always beautiful, the UK is big enough to have to deal with. You know my views, I want out of this European superstate nonsense, but not out of Europe. We can be best mates without being instructed how to live our lives or run our country, we've done it before........

Why is it only the remain people who keep bringing up xenophobia, racism, personal insults, insulting labels (neoliberal shits) etc.......
Pete. Not insulting you. I just think exit will give power to the right. We agree society needs fixing. Who do you think (if we exit) is the government to do it?
