The EU deal

seems mad doesn't it, saying that i know a fella that still does it now, little team of them hire out to farmers for harvesting crops that need picking very quickly by hand, they work bloody hard but wages are quite good, they are from Kirkdale as well
As long as the wages are right I have no problem with it mate

You could also argue that the same right wing press complain about the influx of eastern Europeans taking "our" jobs and sponging off the state.

Yes I could. And, yes - they are taking our jobs in the vast majority of cases.

British citizens claiming UC (Universal Credit) and earning less than the equivalent of 30hrs @NMW are now being forced to find more, or better paid work. NMW work is usually menial, and a plethora of eastern europeans here are in those jobs.

So it's yet another hurdle imposed on the british (low paid) worker.

Trouble is there are plenty of Brits with a massive sense of entitlement. They want pay and working conditions that would make even a union rep feel guilty.

One big threat to UK security is the migrant crisis. Once the migrants receive an EU passport they are free to travel to the UK. We don't want scenes like the rapes of Cologne happening in the streets of England.

On a serious note, very worried for Britain.

Cameron has gambled people will see it as an acceptable deal and notice that it basically changes very little.

He blundered by setting out his red lines early and then not come close to meeting them, meaning the people who want the EU out will be able to compare the two side by side.

The everyday Brit will be irritated by the arrogance from European leaders about this too, and won't like the fact we're expected to vote to stay in.

I think this is going to be a very tight vote and it will depend if those who aren't politically engaged and just want to put two fingers up to the "foreigners" can be arsed turning up to vote out on the night.

So do the Eastern Europeans. Difference is, they have different expectations of what a decent day's graft and decent pay is. That's the point.

That's not what dandydan means. He's quite happy to spew the bile by implying that the british are workshy and scroungers, it doesn't take a genius to work that out. The same shabite that the elitist classes hurl out so they can continue with their avaricious, freeloading lifestyles....And I mean real freeloading, on a grandiose scale.

Quite content to see the right wing's race to the bottom developing by blaming workers for wanting to hold on to the few rights they haven't had stripped from them.

'kinell - you'd think we were back in the 70's with that attitude, ffs.

No it isn't, I was one of them.

What - a hypocrite?
