Brussels bureaucrats are biding their time in the hope that the UK stays part of the EU, sources claim.

They then plan to demand €20billion more for their budget, expand freedom of movement and beef up human rights in a "Pandora's box" of new rules.

According to MEPs and diplomats, the measures are being kept quiet for fear they could alienate Britain for good.

The move is seen as a way to help the Remain campaign, which David Cameron supports
Debates and parliamentary hearings on the budget are scheduled for July - just after the vote - and could see demands for €20billion more cash.

Eurosceptics say the scheduling is a cynical attempt to bury controversy until Britain cannot leave.

An unnamed French official said bureaucrats are confident they can get their way once the referendum is over.

He said: "These proposals can be discussed after June without creating too many difficulties. In fact, it would be more problematic if we had to negotiate under the pressure of the UK"

Somebody has made this up haven't they? My guess is someone who wants to leave.

good lord, question time tonight...abbott,truss and some journalist women, could they be anymore unlikeable..
Abbott is arrogant, admitted to putting her career before principles and was condescending right the way through.
Truss was just Truss - an irritant who comes across as a lapdog.
If they are an example of the best the In campaign can field, God help them.
Can't wait until the financial models are released.
