I don't think Kenwright would sell us up the creek, I believe he is a true Evertonian, I also believe once we are sold the likely hood is that the next owners will only be in it for the money. why else??? It makes me laugh to hear people on this forum saying certain people are only in it for the money, well tell me some owners (besides fabulously rich arabs) who arnt in it for the money.

He invited/allowed a multi bankrupt, Robert Earl, into the club and onto the board.

So far as financial morals come then its not great from his standpoint.

Do the people who defend Kenwright and warn of Portsmouth, Blackburn or Leeds, not see the irony of their warnings. The reason those clubs failed is because their previous owners sold for maximum profit will little regard to the suitability of the new owners to run the football club.

What exactly do you think the strategy is for Earl/Green? Do you really think that they invested in Everton for the love of the club? Hardly. They could see the tsunami of money that was about to wash over football and bought their shares for a song. At the minute, we've got a board of millionaires sitting tight and waiting for the maximum profit whilst the club stagnates. Make no mistake, when these bar stewards believe the Premier League gravy train has reached its maximum growth potential (record TV deal or not, there's more £££'s to be squeezed out yet) they will sell up to absolutely anybody willing to pay top dollar, regardless of whether they are a Venky's or similar.

And when it all goes tits up, the idiots can say "we told you a takeover would be a disaster"

So they are letting the club full behind in an attempt to get maximum money? That doesn't make sense mate.
Also if the board are going to just sell to anyone, we would have different owners now.

Doesn't stop them being bumbling idiots, but your reason for them not selling doesn't stack up imo.

Mate, I think you need to be more precise if you are going to criticise individuals. Robert Earl is not a multi bankrupt. Planet Hollywood, which he owned about 1/3 went into Chapter 11 bankruptcy twice, Earl has never been personally bankrupt.

I'm all for holding the Everton Board to account as you will see from many posts on here, but the criticisms must be accurate.

Robert Earl is one third (sometimes one quarter) of the Everton board and I wouldnt trust him with one share of my club, with NO ties to it or the city or even the north of England, given what he has done with his own company.

That's fair enough, I'm not defending him by the way, I just think everyone has to be accurate with their comments, otherwise when faced with the opportunity to question the Board and its members there will be the inevitable lack of credibility.

I would also say that in negotiating for change, or at least influencing change in the future, there are things which can be said publicly and there are things better said behind closed doors. Like it or not the Board is under no legal obligation to communicate or interact with the fans, they're under no legal obligation to hold General Meetings other than properly convened extra-ordinary meetings with the minority shareholders.

I don't know if you're involved in Blue Union or not, but if you are, you might want to consider your strategy and tactics. Your objectives are reasonably clear, the means of achieving them are not.
