Paul Gregg played a pivotal role in the demise of the Kings Dock stadium. A far bigger role than Bill Kenwright.

I would suggest problem solving skills mate
That sounds familiar mate. Do you have the same problem with KEIOC uploading videos/canvassing Kirkby residents about fellow Evertonians engaged in football hooliganism and violence? I understand KEIOC are still quite an active member in the BU.
Heres the apology:
Unfortunately I made grave error of judgement. During the past few months I have been approached by local residents opposed to the stadium development who viewed their concerns that this kind of development would have a detrimental effect on the local community. Often citing anti social behaviour and football related violence. Personally, I was of the opinion that it would assist local residents make a balanced judgement because to make a considered decision you need to look at the negatives as well as the positives.
It was never my intention to besmirch the good name of Everton Football club or the residents of Kirkby, and apologise unreservedly to anybody who may have taken offence to any comments I may have made yesterday
I deplore all forms of violence and do my utmost to promote Everton Football Club Evertonians, and no matter where I travel whether it be at home or abroad. I will continue to campaign for Everton Football club to be open & transparent and include all match-going Evertonians in the ballot process.
Perhaps now with the benefit of hindsight my approach in the future will be more considered.
I believe in being responsible for my own actions and I am willing to tender my resignation at our next committee meeting.
Yours sincerely
Alfie Hincks
But...But....But....Key word....."Vitriol".
I think he means that Gregg was responsible for insisting on people who put cash forward for the whole project to have a major say in how the stadium was set up and what the club had to do to own it...of course, this was a massive cheek and Gregg's associates should have paid for it and handed over the keys to Kenwright as a gift. This will be interesting if you're willing to expand on this new insight....

It's a shame for Kenwright, how was he to know that Gregg was a moral vacuum ? Must have been shocked when he saw the Echo article about how Gregg had treated his first family.I think he means that Gregg was responsible for insisting on people who put cash forward for the whole project to have a major say in how the stadium was set up and what the club had to do to own it...of course, this was a massive cheek and Gregg's associates should have paid for it and handed over the keys to Kenwright as a gift.
In that sense he was responsible.

Another brilliant post Dave. Eventually most fans will get the message, hopefully sooner rather than later.I remember when that True Blue consortium was put together to buy Johnson out and Gregg was describes as a trusted business associate of Kenwright's.
Let's face it, Gregg was only allowed on board so he could buy up part of the shares they were struggling to find cash for and Kenwright ensnared his cash by giving him the promise of pushing forward with a stadium scheme at the Kings Dock. Once the takeover was complete though, Kenwright had the problem of ditching a stadium scheme that threatened to decouple him from his trainset almost as quickly as he'd acquired it. He led us a merry dance - probably praying the scheme would be knocked back at various stages, but when it wasn't and it got to the stage of just finding the cash for it he pulled the plug - and he then saw Gregg off with the help of the other directors and the pliant local rags. He wasted four years on that fantasy island scheme just to shake off Gregg from Everton...and then saddled us with those pair of carpet baggers Earl and Green, who've sat on their shares and refuse to do anything constructive, just biding their time for a stadium to be built in order to sell up for a 400% profit on their outlay.
Clap, clap, clap.
And yet we can say exactly the same about accounts were for sale. In fact the only 'on record' statement officially by EFC came from the CEO in the Kirkby inquiry who said were not for sale.
Steve your smoke and mirrors approach is frankly tiresome.
Nothing smoke and mirrors about sting simple facts. And our CEO was contadicted simply by the fact that Stavely and others had been employed to sell the club, according to Bill. Bill and Elstone were obviously not singing from the same hymn sheet there !! The 'reason' was that for the purposes of the enquiry, the club could not be for sale while the enquiry was in progress, so to that extent Elstone was right. Bills position would be that the club was for sale before the enquiry, not for sale during the enquiry ,and for sale again afterwards....something to do with the legality of the enqury. In other words, the invisible 'for sale' signs had to be taken down while the enquiry took place.

The club appointed professionals to sell the club some time ago. These professionals were not successful.
After saying nothing to do with smoke and mirrors the rest of your post is literally how the club were playing smoke and mirrors with the clubs sale.
No Joey...I've explained why Elstone said the club was not for sale. It could not be for sale during the enquiry that would have made the enquiry null and void.
Did I ever say the board had not failed to sell the club? Surely thats obvious because the same owners/board are still in place. You are so desperate to have disagreement and nail individuals that you never stop to think . The club is certainly for sale, as long as new owners meet the approval of the current board/custodians. That should always be the case, but isn't always, as many clubs have found out to their cost. What comes across from a particular group of Evertonians is that the important thing is to remove Bill Kenwright, etc, regardless of what the future might then bring.
Smoke & Mirrors indeed!!
Once again you try to turn the question on a group of evertonians who have nothing to do with the question I asked.
ill ask you again, why aren't you questioning the current board as to what is their plan to sell the club and if they aren't selling what is their plan to move the club forward?
Do the above without mentioning any other club or supporters group please.
