The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

I'll withdraw the samantics, replace hack with leak - but hold the basic premise.
Not the same premise at all, hacking into a private network as per your original allegation is criminal activity. They didn't even leak the email, it was leaked to them and they published it.

No concerns for you at all on what the contents of the email suggested about the state of the board (the actual thread topic, not the BU) and it's upper management ?

To be honest mate and with respect I have no interest in entering into a conversation with you.

The premise is the essence of my post and not what you choose to tell me it is, I and many other Evertonians are capable of making a reasoned decision on the BU based on my own values.

But I'll leave this with our fan base, whatever way people want to interpret it is up to them: if you want to be one of the big shots behind the fence shouting abuse at an almost 70 year old man, you know when the meeting is. Don't worry if you miss it there will be another one of season next year - for the relaunch.

guys lets not fight, we all know kenwright has been saving his money for the last 20 years to ensure that we can afford sign both ronaldo and messi this summer

surely ....

If only misinformed people like you targeted the real villains with your vitriol - the incumbent absentee board members and useless CEO.

Sadly that's probably less fun for you than libelling your fellow Evertonian supporters.

Amazing how somebody's incompetence gets exposed, and to this day, 4 years later, some people are more arsed about how it came out than what it actually revealed.

I'm not engaging in an arguement on who the bigger blue or that the BU are better supporters then me because they are "doing something" - hacking emails, trampling on the good will of the chairman by leaking dialouge of their interview, personally I wouldn't get involved in anything featuring KEIOC after they tried to scare Kirkby residents by uploading engaged in football hooliganism online - if that's what you mean by something, I'll sit on my hands thanks, as I have a different set of values, ethics and morals on what it means to be an Evertoinan.

To be honest if the calibre of arguement is they are bigger blues because they want silverware and are doing something - don't deserve and never will attract strong skill skill sets or the quality of people to negotiate the issues and more importantly stratically innovate in regard to future planning which seems to me a massive gaping hole here.

It's spelled Evertonian Neiler.

No abuse there, just string of questions.

Enough Police in situ to make an arrest if there was.

I wouldn't say it's my top 10 moments of the weekend mate in terms of fun, you seem to be under the presumption that I am defending the board here which I am not. I wouldn't be bothered if they were gone in the morning.

That doesn't mean that I mean I am a BU supporter either for the reasons I have mentioned.

Quite the pickle for a polarised viewpoint I know!

There's no such thing as a 'BU supporter'.

You're either pro-board (why anyone would be that is quite frankly baffling) or anti-board, which based on the poll attached to this thread, most people are.

There's no reason to attack the BU. Slyly making comments about them somehow being underhand is not only untrue and unhelpful, but takes the focus off the real fight. We all want the same thing and bickering and fighting and making silly allegations that aren't true helps no-one (except the current board, who must laugh their 'you know what' off at successfully belittling and discrediting something they considered a real threat to them).

I think your wrong mate, I don't beleive the debate is that polarised to be honest, I defo don't think thereis a pro or anti board definitiveness. I don't think that necessarily means people are against change, nor do I beleive the vast majority of fans believe the club is being run into the ground like Leeds etc. I have a problem with that polarised view point. My opinion has changed a lot at different times, as the scene constantly changes. IMO it's important to have an open minded approach.

I respect your opinion, but I hold strong opinions around the ethics, methods and morals of the BU and some of the contributive groups of the BU for the reasons I have continuously stated on this site. I'll hold fast and continue that i think, I think many may be of a similar viewpoint.

Lads, let's argue the substance of the debate, if we are going to argue at all, but not each other.

I'll just repeat what I've said many times - if there's going to be criticism of individuals or the Board let's just be accurate with those criticisms and allegations, otherwise all credibility is destroyed.

Let's focus on getting the changes required to make this club a great force in English and European football once more.
