The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

Your comment about Messi pretty much sums it all up, they'll never do enough for you. I couldn't careless if Kenwrights a blue or not to be honest, that has absolutely no impact on how the clubs run.

The good times are round the corner. I think there'll be a cup in the cupboard come May, I'll be able to enjoy it, unfortunately it doesn't look like you'll be able to.

We shall see mate you need to vault this to so if "we don't win a cup" you can say oops.

I thought we all agreed that if we had a net spend of 25-30m this summer everyone would give Bill a break.

I'll vault if some of yous don't remember this deal xx

It's not the end of the window.

Not to mention spending money isn't the only stick to beat the board with. I'm still unconvinced by our administrative teams competence at creating revenue streams.

We still don't have a new stadium or plans to revamp Goodison, and we still are being talked about as a small club by the papers. I personally won't jump off the fence until I see Everton being sold as a name to compete with Spurs, Arsenal, and the like let alone Utd.

In fact, the spending of money has never been my particular complaint as I think the board does reinvest money that is made from the club - they clearly do not invest beyond that (this hasn't changed) - and they are not doing the best job at improving money made by the club.

Of course I've never thought that our board is malicious, and I do believe Kenwright is a blue that loves this club; they're just not cutthroat enough in regards to commercial income. Or to put it another way: Kitbag.

So you're going to vault a few people with over 4 weeks of the window still to go.

Please go ahead.

Why not, who do you think we'll sell?
I personally don't think we will sell anyone. Not of note anyway. However, to say we will have a 30m net spend, when we have over 4 weeks of the window still to play out, is rather premature isn't it ?

Lets not forget also that we are talking about our board here. Past experience of being an Evertonian and supporting this team has taught me that anything is possible when we have a board like ours.

last seasons tv money and this years means the club got £28 million extra on top of what they were getting , add to that a reduced wage bill and 40 million in player sales , the increase from the chang sponsership and the prize money from finishing 5th , i dont think the amount the board has paid out so far this summer is that much of a miracle.
financially we should be quite good now and no longer making millions in losses each season.

if times got tough we now have some great assets in rom barkley coleman stones mirallas mccarthy and id imagine besic will be there too soon (normally we would only have 1 or 2 high sale assetts) and i imagine a few youngsters still coming through from 16 years + who potentially could be 'the next big things'.

regardless of the past and the boards mistakes , its all good in the hood.
that is apart from one thing , and thats the stadium. thats the biggest issue this club has draged its heels on for far too long and i cant wait till its sorted.

You have to wait for the next few windows for me I'm afraid. I did say we will spend money this summer, its the next few windows we have to be concerned about.
