The Everton Board Thread 2014/15

Is it time for change?

  • I'm happy with the way thing are. Kenwright and the Board should stay.

  • Kenwright and the board need to go. We need change.

I think the jury is still out on roberto,at the moment he's still using a massive percentage of moyes players and some of his own signings have been lets just say 'questionable'

So when this percentage leave or just become too old and they are replaced by Roberto's own signings and if it goes belly up I think blue bill will receive all the credit for the appointment of our current manager
Lol

In comparison to which clubs?

What we get matches our media image & profile.

You know when people moan about the lies in the Mirror, about how the media seems to think of us as a stepping stone to a Sky darling? Well these stories have a direct effect on how we are perceived and on what companies offer us for sponsorships.

I doubt Elstone is turning down better deals & offers.

Excellent point

People need to realise this and not just go straight to the "Oh don't read it then" argument

There is also the impression we are a soft touch when it comes to negotiations and fighting our corner, we adopt a desperate, take anything approach to the major deals, for the supporters don't read it is the best option in the media, for the board, they need to wise up and catch up with 2014..

He isn't doing ANYTHING, that's the problem and always has been and will be our problem.

Problem with the fans is they slated Moyes who worked under dour conditions under this board and never had a penny to spend.

Martinez spent £34 million this transfer window. Not massive amounts but more than moyes ever had yet gets a free pass from the fans.

Our problems this season is 1 dimensional football with no pace or width. We have 2 strikers on the field playing in midfield with 2 wingers on the bench and England's best young player out wide.

I just can't blame Kenwrong for this one. The buck stops at martinez and his stubborness. He's trying too hard to be guardiola instead of sticking to the side that got us 5th last season and would have gotten us 4th in any other season.

He spent hardly anything net spend wise mate.

About £12m over two seasons. Absolutely **** all really.

He needs backing in January.

Here we go bang on que, lose a few games, playing awful, manager doing nothing to change things, awful tactics, poor use of subs (when used), players all over the place, blame Kenwright.....

I reckon you're in a very small minority laughing at that mate.

Kenwright is and continues to be an utter disaster for this club. I'd say a good 95% would agree with that.

Laughing at your spin doctor approach to martinez; things go wrong and you resort to the board to shift focus. About as predictable as martinez tactics

You should go into politics

He does need backing mate i agree but I just don't have faith in him atm. This is a completely different manager and team the ones last season and it's worrying.

Barkley went from a lad who was given a free pass to be creative midfielder to shoved out wide to accomodate a limited striker playing in CAM. you have one of the most prolific strikers of recent times in eto'o playing out wide/behind the striker despite having no pace. Lukaku has gone from a counter attacking beast to a Jarg big dunc, asked to play completely against his strengths.

You have two wingers on the bench unless he's had a barmy with mcgeady and pienaar why are they not getting a sniff?

Some massive issues atm mate and Martinez isn't filling me with the confidence that he knows what he's doing. He's not got the happy go lucky dressing room of wigan anymore he's in there with match winners like eto'o, lukaku, Barry etc. If he starts to baffle them as much as he is baffling us then he's doomed to fail.
