It was fine when everyone else was skint also outside the top 4, now the other 15 clubs have some money and we inexplicably don't, we are on course for a gradual slide down the table I think.
Well I thought we would finish 8th. I still do but now instead of hoping to finish higher I'm fearing finishing lower. Ultimately I don't think we will get close to relegation but I wouldn't be surprised if we have another bottom half finish.

I don't necessarily mean this season, but our trajectory over the next 5-10 years is downward, I'm fairly certain.

It's not. We've had one good season and one bad season. Apart from that we've been around 7th for the last 6-8 years. I do however think the one bad season is more what things are to come rather than the blip. I think the blip was Martinez first season.

No reason we can't finish 5th. Same squad as two years ago near enough. Liverpool are a mess, Spurs have gone backwards and Soutampton finished 7th last season and we wiped the floor with them. No reason we can't be at least the best of the rest outside the top 4.

We'd have a better chance if the board had invested funds.

Bump this for the fume

Not fumin'.

Almost exactly how I expected the window to pan out - sans Mori - who's hardly what I'd call a 'marquee signing' tbf.

Just resigned to the fact that once again the board have operated in their overtly obvious manner, and once again the far too easily pleased have said: "Good window".

And it'll be the same next time around.

The board just being the board as normal , why is anybody shocked anymore at the lack of ambition.
midtable and happy with it.
lot of pressure on mori coming good if he is a dud and results dont improve its going to get ugly around xmas.
they havnt helped the managers credibility either we need a number ten. Then three, two one in, then two attacking players coming in made a bit of a show of him there, and the fans wont fall for it off him again,
not that the board will give a care about that though

The board will know that a lot of anger from the fans will be deflected off them at the next home game, as Jose and co. will be getting all the abuse. I can see them playing a Beatles medley before kick off just to up the ante.

Hope we'll be able to hear it over the noise of the banner-flying plane overhead.

And fans will accept this.

Some may try to protest but the good yesmen will continue to bum Bill and will make them pipe down.

We need serious, frequent protests. Sadly, we won't get them.
