So once again the takeover rumours are all over the internet again, I've seen and heard it all before. AGM soon anyone. I don't believe a single thing that's said about this club. The way they have the media in there pocket it a joke. Green owns an runs this club, because Kenwright is the worst thing ever to happen to us. But.....he's an evertonian so it's ok.

I started posting on is website in 2007, must have been in the first 200 posters. But stopped 4/5 years ago because of how much I hated Kenwright an Moyes. All the lies an bullshit and couldn't understand how people just lapped it all up and believed everything. And it's still no different. They just play on how desperate we are to be a top aide again, and just put out false hope while spending nothing and we fall further behind, year after year.

One day hopefully someone will come along and set us free, but because of the situation of all the assents being sold were not very attractive to any buyer.

Is that not more of a damning indictment of the man rather than praise? If Green runs the show and, yet, we are STILL that awful in almost every aspect off the pitch..?

Trust me, I am firmly in the camp of Green having no control over Everton and what I was trying to do was respond to a poster who is firmly of the opinion that "watched toffeee tells the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth".

There are many reasons why under the Companies Acts, Auditing Standards and the rules of the Premier League that point to PG not being:

a shadow director
a provider of finance to the club
a significant shareholder

I was trying to get the poster to work out for himself that PG would run the company with more acumen.

Do I think that BK has turned to him informally for advice - yes

Have I answered all of the points mentioned in watched toffee - yes, at length from end of August onwards. Also look at the posts from the esk, Foot Long Hot Dog and others.

That would mean that the shareholders are either extremely fickle or extremely stupid.

As for the half price season tickets I don't see it as a factor seeing as we pretty much sell out every home game any way and the club make more money on a single match ticket than discounted season ticket.

Unless it's a fait accompli and is complete before the AGM, would probably be batted aside using a confidentiality agreement argument, so I'm not that certain it would be an advantage to be honest.

The only advantage I could see is actually from the anti board bashers. Start a rumour of a takeover knowing there's no takeover and then complain when said takeover doesn't happen hoping to gain some new recruits.

That's probably because people don't appreciate the truth when it's broken down so simple even an idiot can understand it. Just look how @Bob Elstone has ignored your post about Phil Green.

Haha. Well depends on the "american" in question. Assuming rumours are true and it's a known sports team owner/consortium then I (and many US sports fans) already know the person. There are some which would make me shudder in terror; there are others who are so incredible I never even considered them because I don't expect Everton to be that lucky (like there is one US owner I'd write a solid tl;dr of unconditional praise if it was him).

There is also something weird at play here: many of the US sports team owners aren't rich enough. You can get a major US sports team if you have a couple of hundred million. With salary caps many owners don't have to invest any money in the team aside from initial franchise fee etc. While unquestionably a good chunk of change slightly higher than my current bank balance, once they buy the team for a couple of hundred million we're left with an owner who really isn't much different than BK in terms of ability to invest in the team. The key in that case would be hopefully a better sports-business approach (and I'd take that).

A business associate with professional links to PG told me last year that NO major decisions of Everton FC are made until such time as PG has reviewed relevant documentation and/or offered his opinion/OK.
