Kenwright has the media on his side always has had its part of his job and he is good at it.
He does take a bit to much stick in comparison to the rest of the board , and if he is ill at the moment as rumours seem to suggest its not a good time to be having ago, but as in the case of fortress fund and the Gregg and the reverse morgage for kings dock , his own interests outweigh the clubs when it comes to it,
dont blame him really is only human nature , but I think he got into bed with a wolf when he turned to Earl to get Gregg out of the way
I Dont think he is in as much of control as we are led to believe and even if he did want to sell the others in there little club get the option on his shares first anyway so doubt there would be much change unless they all went .
I dont wish him any harm or ill luck he is a blue and a good one at that just not the man to lead us forward.
Ideally he could make a few bob and just enjoy us going onwards and upwards as a fan.

That's his own fault though for having a 3 man board. There's him, Jon Woods who's visible but says nothing publicly, and Earl, who's been awol for 8 years & is a silent shareholder, the reasons for which have never been fully explained.

Kenwright gets deserved stick because he's the sole spokesperson for the board. Maybe if he wasn't so controlling and invited fresh people/investors with fresh ideas on to the board, things would change. I mean, Swansea have something like 8 people on their board. No wonder they're more dynamic and get things done. He doesn't even do that - it amazes me that some people can't understand why we want rid of him.

I agree with you but thats where we stand right now,and unfortunately its not going to change any time soon
Why not?
Surely our role as supporters then is to fight for change as the current board aren't able to progress us as things stand.
Let them know all is not fine and dandy and that 20 years without a trophy is plenty enough

Because there isnt this massive opposition to the board from what I see on social media sites a couple of wins and signings
and everything is well with the world,if the club finish 8th or so thats pictured as a decent season

Perhaps things are changing mate. That 80% of the people who voted in the poll want them gone suggests perhaps people have had enough. Likewise with the popularity of the Everton Board Out on twitter.
What's your rational for wanting the board to stay?

I dont want the board to stay,in my eyes they should have been run out of town after KD failed, what im saying is its not going to change, simply because we need capital to grow this board will not provide that but there is no pressure for them to sell,TV money will subside them, media will continue to paint the well run, punching above their weight picture and the majority be that a small or large majority will but the spin
If Bill decides through ill health to sell his shares chances are the remaining board members will buy them up so the situation doesnt
change

Yeah fair enough, I can sadly see that happening. Which means the onus is on us the fans to create pressure on the board to do what is right for the club and not for their pockets.
There's a bit of momentum at the moment, hopefully that continues to build and we get some actual coverage of the issues we have with the board in the national media, as the Echo won't provide it.

I remember the front page, plus centre spread of how DK was the way forward virtually 5 pages of propaganda from Terry Leahy
of how this was a great move for the club, there was a piece by Dominic King telling us,one of the biggest clubs going to look at
Coventry of all teams as the way forward, the media have dumbed down expectations of fans and we now should be grateful to
play in the same league as the Sky top 4/5/6,seriously i dont see a great deal of unrest in the pubs or ground, except toward
the players/manager

That's why protests happen. Things don't just change because all of a sudden there's this massive opposition.

You don't just give up because there isn't everyone on board.

Personally - and lots like me - think there's a very compelling case why this board must go. There are others that don't. That's no reason for people to give up.

If one lad hadn't start a petition, we'd still have that crappy badge.

Change has to start somewhere.

I'm not certain on this, but I believe once someone hits >29.9% of the shareholding then they're obliged to make an offer for the rest of the shares.

As it is, kenwright has around 26%, earl holds something like 23.5%, woods around 19%.

Earl & woods would only go to the 29.9 limit as they'd see their arses if they reached the threshold to make the mandatory bid & everyone (Or the majority) accepted their bid. Earl probably has the cash, but not the will; and woods doesn't have either, so if they went to 29.9% each that'd leave around 10.5% on the open market.
