Yes, clever clogs but january 2009 still falls in the same season as 2008/9.

There are two transfer windows per season.

Try again or you can be a real pedant and assume that one transfer window has no relation to the other, which is so unreal as to be untrue.

Honestly mate i'm not really that bothered but you can't accuse dave of making things up and not getting his facts right if he states we haven't bought a first team player in the last 5 transfer windows when we clearly haven't.

Sure the 6th one we bought Fellaini but thats not what he said is it? And yeah we broke our transfer record 3 times in a row but they are seperate arguments.

We did spend money, now we don't. And its hurting us, thats the point.

It's painful to read, tbh mate.

Someone gets the wrong end of the stick - they need to accept it and move on.

Strange series of posts. Blind hatred.

Good post lar , the problem is with the last point , there is an awful lot of fans like myself who think there are or certainly would be buyers if the right work is put in to find them , Iam fed up saying my problem with the club is > no company has Been put in place to travel the globe searching for a buyer , I know this costs money but speculate to accumulate , also having a contract like we do with Chang , I'd be suprised if no one from China , Thiland , Singapore , Hong Kong> way have not even enquired about the club considering the premier league has so much exposure in these parts of the world , I believe and no one will change my opinion that he wants too much for the club , considering the stadium which Blue Bill has let rot , no one will pay 125 million which is the amount Keith Harris said on radio city last year because straight away they will need to spend 3-400 million on a new stadium , why cant he come out and say " here's proof Iam an Evertonian and want what's best for our great club , who ever wants the club give me 60 million and it's yours" , but no he wants major profit and won't sell otherwise because I believe in my heart of hearts he's taking money out of the club , it might not be millions but it's definatley keeping him going in life IMO

I don't want to go into what "commonsense" proposal that I'd make, but I agree with much of what you say. I personally think that £125m is too high, but I'm not in hgh finance. The concentration on Bill is understandable, but I'd rather concentrate on Earl and the others who don't even have a particular love of the club. How we move towards your position of getting movement on this issue is what we should be talking about.

All I'd say on the stadia is if we'd move to DK, Bill would have sold the club. At the moment, staying at GP with no movement to other sites (which the prefer - see Silas interview with Graeme Sharp) is to me the key sticking point to any sale. Billionaires do not build new stadia and Bill's plan B is simply to stay put.

Anyway, Keyboard masturbation only leaves a lot of wet stuff over the place with no action.

Lets talk about action. Its the only way it can be done.

When was the last time, that we purchased players in two transfer windows in a season?

To me, its an arguement over semantics. If you really want to separate this transfer window from January, when they happen in the same season, accept that argument. The reality is that Everton don't normaly sign someone in both summer and winter transfer windows.

If you really want to get down to semantics, we purchased Magaye Gueye and Apostolis last transfer window.

And yes, money changed hands so they are purchases.

Do you really want to continue this argument?

I desperately want us to be owned by someone that has the resources and ambition to grow us.

However seemingly no one wants to buy us. We can demand us to be sold on here daily which is great but you can't sell unless some one wants to buy.

If you want to do something worth your while then get behind someone like E4C.

If not, stop being a tit.

Fair do'z Chico we do sound like broken records I know but maybe just maybe the ratio for and against the board may tilt in favour of maybe some form of protesting which I would get behind 2morrow based on my beliefs , wheather that happens remains to be seen
