It might be joked about or offered as a sort of 'search me' response as to why this category has grown, but for the most part people ask the questions about it because we're a club run by people who have constantly robbed Peter to pay Paul and have been "creative" in terms of shuffling finances around and the suspicion is that OOCs may be connected in some way to all that.

Easy way to solve it: itemise it each year and have the auditors sign off on it.

Most are clever enough not to libel the individuals we're talking about, but they float it out there & let the thought of an 'iffy' possibility permeate forums such as this.

Likewise demanding a board resign when you don't have clear evidence of anyone else being ready to step in is reckless in the extreme.

One of the best things going for the club at the minute is stability between Kenwright and Moyes. It seems to have taken us to a strong squad and potential for a decent season. With the new TV deal and talk of a expanded euopean comp then its clearly crucial to stay on that path isn't it?

That's right. It's at the level of organisation not the individual that the interest in the OOCs is. Of course, I'm sure it suits you to make this all about "loonies talking about Bill's agent fees he sucks out the club". It's a bit more difficult to focus on the issue at hand isn't it?

The auditors do sign off on that part of the accounts yes. So why not have an appendix that acknowledges exactly what's being signed off on? It's such an enormous proportion of our accounts now that it fully warrants that itemisation.

As we're all saying: if there's nothing untoward going on - publish it in detail.

There's no access, no AGM to put questions so how do you expect to get proof?
