A junior kit costs £40 normally, and shipping to the US is £7. So, $74 delivered for a kids shirt with no badges, no number or name, and up to 7 day delivery.

But it's the same price as over here, but in dollars

Are you saying it should be cheaper because it's going to the States?

No, your wrong, a Junior KIT would have cost £40 for the shirt, £20 for the shorts and £12 for the socks. £72 for a fcking Everton kit, for a 9 Year old.

Needless to say JR was a bit peeved when I said he wasnt getting the full kit.

The other Year I spent £220, for a full kit for the 3 kids and a top for me.

I hate Everton so much.

Whoops, just meant the shirt.

It's bad enough for us but if you're in the US and paying over $100 for a KIDS shirt when nearly 20% of that is normally a VAT charge that shouldn't even apply to you, it's pretty piss poor.

It's Alabama, all they have is drink, guns and sport shops.

But still, shipping costs from the UK etc etc etc, all the other clubs have their shirts on sale in stores, we don't. Even in the UK.
'ALL the other clubs have their shirts on sale in stores'? You mean the 'brand leaders', the RS, Chelsea, ManUtd, Arsenal and possibly Citeh? Try getting a shirt for the rest of the Prem teams in Alabama, or anywhere in the US....and keep trying....
The way you are spinning, you would think that it is ONLY Everton shirts that are not readily available, when this is plainly not the case. When you are a major world football brand, it pays wholesalers and retailers to devote space to your shirts, etc. Win a few trophies in the next few years and abracadabra...we sell more shirts !!

I merely was using your argument lad, as it was YOU that was bemoaning the fact that a wage cap hike would be detrimental to EFC, when we qualify for the CL, as we'd be limited how much we could increase the wage bill by - I was using the cash you'd invented to make a point.

I see you swerved kitbags deal with Villa.(y)

Actually you can get Newcastle and Villa kits abroad, i'm fairly sure somebody from Thailand was on here saying as much, and you can get their kits in the US.

You can get COPIES of most things in Thailand !! In fact you can get COPIES of Everton shirts in Thailand !

They presumably operate on a volume basis, in the same way that Nike decides whether or not it's worthwhile producing baby or women's shirts. LCS produced a woman and baby option for home kits, so presumably there was a profit to be made, but with Nike's 10000 minimum production order they decided it wasn't worth it (for them). Just because Kitbag don't think there is enough profit to be made by their standards doesn't mean there isn't any, and that the club wouldn't profit from selling kits elsewhere and abroad.

But you know, all the other clubs who are the same size as us or smaller who sell their kits abroad must be wrong. In Kitbag we trust.

If it's not worth it i.e. there's no profit in it, then it's not worth it full stop - unless you want to run this segment of your business as a loss making element. They obviously concluded that the risk of being lumped with a shed load of unsold stock was greater than the potential return. It's called a business decision & even if we had the distribution in house then we'd have the same decision to make.

Nope.

Just because Nike decide that there isn't a large enough guaranteed profit doesn't mean it isn't worth it for Everton. LCS, a smaller company decided that there was profit to be made from women and baby kits for several years, it was only when Nike with their much larger minimum order requirements came in that this changed.

Obviously we probably wouldn't sell 10000 women's shirts, but we sold enough every year for LCS to continue making them and presumably making a profit.

What price issue?

The fact that American buyers are paying the same as UK buyers when a large amount of that is due to VAT charges which don't apply for international buyers.
