Firstly, just because the majority do it, doesn't make it right by definition......however I take your point, but you've conveniently ignored mine - that being, that kitbag have the licence to sell it & can do so wherever & by whatever means they like - they're also THE EXPERTS, so why haven't they got it stocked anywhere & everywhere????

As for the US, seriously? how much demand do you think we're missing out on there like?

I reckon quite a bit, and its all about selling the brand ( I hate using that word for football ) little "Timmy" from Alabama, wants to be like his hero Tim Howard, but no shirts anywere for the little lad. His dad " Have a Arsenal one instead " Another potential fan lost.

America isn't about just the money. There have been plenty of Americans (and people from other countries) who wish we offered kits to them from a domestic seller.

A few people on a forum doesn't constitute the need to have a retail presence in the States other than what is already available i.e. on line from the UK. Sorry but you're pissing in the wind on this one.

And my question is, why does no other club in the prem follow this model ? If our method is superior why have no other club cottoned onto it ?

The more likely answer, as usual, is that those running the club are clueless and have taken an inferior deal because it makes it easier for them. Outsource everything to take pressure off actually running the club properly.

The more merchandise KitBag sell the more money they, and Everton, make. If there was a market for it, believe me that they would be in the shop. Why would KitBag, an organisation with overall concept of making money, not venture into this avenue?? Selling merchandise in places such as SD is not that simple, because SD will want assurances that the merchandise they stock will sell, and they will require high volume. The purchasing and selling needs to work in both directions, both parties need to be happy with the potential for sales; KitBag may have tried and begged and the other retailer may have said no.

Somewhere like SD, shelf space is a premium, thats why the places are crammed with crap. For every 50 Everton shirts that are taking location in the shop, that could take 2 months to sell, there are 50 Chelsea shirts that aren't, and SD very well know that these could shift a lot quicker than ours.

And to say outsourcing takes the pressure off actually running the club is a nonsical remark; the club is running a debt, cash flow is a problem; no cash = insolvency. Outsourcing frees up cash flow.

The same reason why Nike didn't produce any kits for women or babies this season. Or are you saying they wouldn't have sold enough to make money ?

It may not be worth it for Kitbag, but that doesn't mean selling kits in stores wouldn't be worth it for us.

Is there anything this board can do wrong - they're now leaders in showing other major sports clubs why outsourcing is the way forward, and how avoiding potential new markets is great buisness strategy.

It's ****ing great when you think about it.

If they're going to sell more shirts & at a profit, then how would it not be in the interests of kitbag? Please explain how this works for a specialist sports wear retailer?

They presumably operate on a volume basis, in the same way that Nike decides whether or not it's worthwhile producing baby or women's shirts. LCS produced a woman and baby option for home kits, so presumably there was a profit to be made, but with Nike's 10000 minimum production order they decided it wasn't worth it (for them). Just because Kitbag don't think there is enough profit to be made by their standards doesn't mean there isn't any, and that the club wouldn't profit from selling kits elsewhere and abroad.

But you know, all the other clubs who are the same size as us or smaller who sell their kits abroad must be wrong. In Kitbag we trust.
