Buying arsenal is a totally different proposition to buying everton and I think even the most blinkered of us can see that . Does that mean we couldn't have been sold by now of course not but I'm not convinced there are too many similarities or comparisons to enable us to further beat kenwright

Thats right,it would be easy to sell Everton as can be seen by the number of clubs that have been sold and it ended up a disaster.
The really hard part is to sell it to some one that is going tp push our club forward, and although Kenwright gets stick from a minority, that will be really difficult to do.

I'm not really defending kenwright mate I think he could have sold us , all I'm saying is that this deal (if it's even real as I've said I have doubts it's a 100% legit) doesn't help that process. In my opinion there is however plenty of other sticks to beat the chairman with for me it's just if we blame him for everything , his responsibility or not , we lose the 'high ground' . If that makes sense ?

Sorry if I'm not being clear mate, I hold him responsible for a whole load of problems but the arsenal situation whether is a genuine takeover attempt or as some (including me) suspect paper talk & 'other factors' at the moment I'm not sure is something to give him a kicking for . Let's concentrate on what he has done or got wrong there's enough of it .

SSN is reporting this morning that these sheiks have looked at other clubs 'including Everton'....but one attraction of Arsenal is the large trough of cash they have, the new stadium, and the 'manager with an international reputation.
I honestly don't think we have any of those things at Everton(!), and doubt that there is much legitimacy in SSN mentioning us...maybe its just because on the rare occasion that a cash rich potential buyer of a football club is around, the media throws our name into the mix.Seems to me that in reality these particular sheiks are shopping for something that isn't anything like Everton, as someone suggested above.

I don't get it tbh. Unless London is the big catch to any potential deal.

Ok, we don't have the stadium or the reserve funds but for the price they would pay for us vs arsenal it leaves stupid amounts of money to build us a stadium, leave cash in reserves, buy players and if needs be replace a manager...

Would love some rich Arabs to transform us like city have been. Although I would hope we did it with a bit more class!

Imagine if a Oil tycoon did buy us, and in the first year he put himself into the hall of fame and also awarded himself the prestigious "Howard Kendall" award, we would think he was power crazy and full of it.

13 years and 3 months of Kenwright.Has that failure and serial liar found any money for us yet?
no,to that and no to ground improvements or new ground, no as well to winning anything,no ringfenced money, no fortress investment money, no to finding a buyer no nothing left to sell ,other than that he is a resounding success.

Imagine the reaction to 13 years of disaster if he wasn't an Evertonian? He pulls the strings on our fans with his sentimental tosh and loads fall for it - people who in every other area of their lives would laugh in the face of any chancer trying to mug them off.

You can see the hold he has right now with the Moyes contract situation. "Bill needs to sack him FFS!".

Unbelievable.
